The Aesthetics of the New Arrma EXB
I mean this absolutely looks awesome its all murdered out. We’ve got matte finish on it, a shiny finish, its got, exp logos in there. The windows are decals too, but hey.
This is a stunt truck its not a scaled truck, and then you could see that they have a roll bar system in here and even roof skids, and this is important when youre doing those tricks its going to land on the roof a lot. So this is going to take a lot of the abuse, because this robot here transfers the energy of the impact down to a inner brace setup that goes into the chassis. So it just braces everything.
It won’t let that body compact or allow any other damage to the inside. They’ve got tethered body Clips on here. Body washers, so its set up to last a bit longer and this lexan is a bit thicker.
The rear wing on here it has screws in the top to help prevent it from wearing down its going to add a little bit of downforce theres, a wheelie bar right underneath it that’s going to help with your wheelies and they’ve got a really nice front bumper. That has some impact absorption to it, just the way its built.
Enhanced Tires and Wheels
This truck is built to bash and they’ve also updated the tires on this from what I’ve read. So it looks like they’re a bit larger and then they’re mounted to these nice black wheels and they have the large red anodized hex to hold them down.
Assembly and Accessories
To get started with the Arrma EXB, you’ll need to install the tires onto the truck. Although there is a bit of assembly involved, it’s not too complicated and even entry-level enthusiasts can handle it. The truck can be run on 3s, so beginners can start with that and grow into it. However, some prior RC experience is recommended before diving into one of these beasts.
In the package, you’ll find the DX3 radio system, which provides smooth and precise control. They also include some handy tools, such as a wheel nut wrench made of machined aluminum. It’s a thoughtful addition to the package. Additionally, you’ll need two AA batteries for the radio system. Don’t forget to read the instruction manual thoroughly for a better understanding of the setup process.
Exploring the Truck
After removing the body, we get a clear view of the Arrma EXB. This truck is aptly named the “Extreme Bash” as it truly lives up to its reputation. Every component of the truck feels incredibly solid and durable.
One standout feature is the large bore shocks, specifically designed to absorb the impact from big jumps. With a 20 millimeter bore and six millimeter shafts, these shocks are built to handle rough landings. The shocks are mounted on a composite shock tower that adds to the overall rigidity of the truck.
The arms of the truck are massive, ensuring stability and strength during intense bashing sessions. The rings at the end of the arms prevent the pivot ball from blowing through, adding an extra layer of durability. The truck also boasts impressive steering knuckles with an aluminum plate on the top and bottom, reinforcing the large seven millimeter turnbuckle links.
Easy Access Gear Case
This new Arrma EXB RC truck features an easy access gear case. This means that if you need to perform maintenance or swap out the oils in the differential, you’ll be able to do it easily. No need to struggle with hard-to-reach components. Additionally, the gear case is designed to be user-friendly, making it a breeze to perform any necessary maintenance tasks.
Impressive Bracing
One of the standout features of this RC truck is the impressive amount of bracing. The front of the truck boasts large tie rods, adding stability and durability. These tie rods connect to an exb brace that is mounted to the center transmission case. The design is not only functional but also visually appealing.
Integrated Design
Arrma has done a great job integrating various components in this RC truck. The rear of the truck also features bracing for added strength and stability. Additionally, there is a lower stamped aluminum brace that connects to the tower, further enhancing the truck’s structural integrity. The clever design ensures that all parts of the truck work together seamlessly.
Heavy-Duty Components
When it comes to steering, Arrma has not compromised on quality. The truck features a swinging rack steering system, allowing for precise control and maneuverability. Additionally, a heavy-duty servo saver is built-in, ensuring that the steering mechanism holds up even in demanding off-road conditions. This attention to detail ensures a high level of performance.
Durable Chassis
The chassis of this Arrma EXB RC truck is constructed with 7075 aluminum, which is known for its strength and durability. The use of this high-grade aluminum not only adds to the truck’s robustness but also provides a sleek and polished appearance. Furthermore, the chassis features laser etching, adding a cool factor to the overall look of the truck.
In conclusion, the new Arrma EXB RC truck offers impressive features that will appeal to RC truck enthusiasts. From its easy access gear case to its integrated design and heavy-duty components, this truck is built to withstand rough terrain and challenging off-road conditions. With a durable chassis and attention to detail, this giant RC truck delivers on both performance and style.
The Bulked-up Chassis
So they’ve bulked this thing up for us, and I’m sure guys will still challenge that chassis. Trying to bend it as they go, well, with this thing. But at least you know they gave us something really good to start with. And then the battery trays, oh boy, let me tell you about those! These are adjustable, which is awesome. So you can go and extend these out if you have a larger capacity pack. They’ve even got the velcro to secure the pack in place. Now that’s some thoughtful engineering!
The Impressive Suspension
Now let’s talk about the suspension. It’s no joke, my friends. Out back, the center section is similar to the front. And do you see the angle on those shocks? It’s just there to help keep this beast planted when it lands after those epic jumps. Can you imagine the kind of punishment this thing can handle? But hold on, there’s more! The rear has some heavy-duty H-arms and big outer carriers. And let’s not forget about the CV drive shafts. They’ve really gone all out to make this truck a true performance machine.
Massive Bearings and Turn Buckles
Moving on to the center, they’ve got some massive-looking bearings going into that gear case. I mean, seriously, those things are absolutely huge! And then we have the big turn buckles in the rear. Just take a moment to admire the craftsmanship. This truck is a sight to behold. It’s not just impressive in looks, though. The performance matches the aesthetics.
The Firm Suspension Setup
Now, let’s talk about how this truck feels. The suspension, right out of the box, is really firm. And that’s understandable considering the weight this thing carries. Once you throw some batteries in there, you’ll definitely appreciate the firmer suspension setup. It’s designed to handle the heavy-duty action without losing its composure. So buckle up and get ready for some serious off-road fun!
Powerful Electronics for Ultimate Performance
Oh, hey there, let’s not forget about the electronics. This truck is loaded with some serious power. The center transmission boasts all-metal gears on the inside. And check out that aluminum center diff housing. It’s there to keep everything in line because a lot of power is going to be going through there. Trust me, you’ll be blown away by the performance this beast delivers.
In conclusion, the new Arrma EXB is an absolute beast of a RC truck. Its bulged-up chassis, adjustable battery trays, impressive suspension, and powerful electronics make it a force to be reckoned with. Whether you’re a seasoned RC enthusiast or just starting out, this truck is sure to fulfill your need for speed and adrenaline. So strap in and prepare for an off-road adventure like no other!

Exp Redditor Performance
Now that you know the basics, it’s time for something special – let’s go out and test the speed of the Arrma EXB. I’m going to set up the Outcast with the stock configuration, using two 4S packs from Spectrum. For the Creighton, I’ll be adding the Heidi speed pending gear to see how fast these RC trucks can really go.
The Speed Test
Alright, guys, we’re at the Speed Run Road. This road is famous among RC truck enthusiasts because it’s narrow but long and flat, allowing for accurate speed tests. I’ve brought the trucks in the back of the Gladiators, but unfortunately, the Gladiator will be going to a new home soon. But for now, let’s start with the Outcast, which has the stock gearing, and later we’ll switch over to the Creighton with the high-speed gearing.
Giant RC Trucks! New Arrma EXB
So, here we go again, checking the road to make sure our giant RC truck goes straight. Okay, another road check, sending it around and rolling into it. Wow, look at the size of that thing, it’s huge! Stop, let’s see how fast it went. 48 miles per hour, not bad at all!
The Creighton with High Speed Gear
Now, let’s see what the Creighton can do with the high-speed gear. Starting the timer, checking the road, my heart is racing a little bit more this time. Spinning it around and rolling into it. Oh no, it just cut out, that was weird. Maybe it was a hard turn, the brakes didn’t respond as expected. Hmm, it feels different. Stop, let’s see the speed this time. 56 miles per hour, we’re getting there!
Battery Troubles
Alright, guys, I’ve swapped out the battery packs, let’s see if that fixes it. Sending it back down, just half throttle and roll into it. Oh no, cut out again. I think the draw is just too much. I heard the battery alarm go off. Stop, let’s see the speed this time. 57 miles per hour, not bad, but we still need to figure out what’s causing the cut outs.
A Speedy Outcast on 8s
That was an interesting speed test. I ran the Outcast on 8s using two Spectrum 4s packs, the 50c versions. We hit 48 miles per hour, which is a very good speed. The truck felt like it had a lot of torque, which will be great for our future runs.
Driving the Crane
When I had the opportunity to drive the crane, I immediately noticed that it had the larger high-speed pinning gear on. The power behind this RC truck was evident, as it ran on 8s and was equipped with the impressive 100c versions of the battery pack. As you guys witnessed, I confidently and swiftly maneuvered the crane down the street, only to encounter a sudden mishap on the top end.
A Voltage Cut Out?
As the crane unexpectedly fell off, it felt as though there was a voltage cut out. Perhaps the amp draw was simply too high for the system to handle. I decided to investigate further by taking the battery packs out of the outcasts and putting them into the crate. The second run with the crate also ended in a fall off, but at a slightly slower speed of 57 miles per hour. This begs the question – what is causing this performance issue?
Investigating the Cause
To get to the bottom of this mystery, I am determined to dedicate my upcoming RC Driver Online video to exploring the potential causes for the speed and performance problems experienced with the Arrma EXB. I aim to thoroughly examine the battery issue theory and explore other possible factors that could be contributing to this unexpected downfall. Stay tuned for the video release on RC Driver Online for an in-depth investigation into this matter.
