As a YouTuber, I am always grateful for the support and encouragement I receive from viewers like the RC elf.
A Feeling of Accomplishment
Building the Wild One kit brought back memories of when I first built the Riri Wild One several years ago. I recall purchasing it from the model spot and bringing it to life piece by piece. At the time, Tamiya’s two-wheel drive models were quite different from the rest of their lineup, providing a unique building experience. The sense of satisfaction and achievement I gained from completing the Wild One build was truly remarkable.

The Enjoyment of Building the Tamiya Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition
I have always found great pleasure in building Tamiya models, but the Tamiya Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition has truly become one of my favorite two-wheel drive builds. From the start, I knew that this build was going to be incredibly enjoyable, and it did not disappoint. What made it even more exciting was the subtle differences it had compared to other kits.
A Unique Building Experience
The Wild One is known for its versatility, and this kit was no exception. Unlike most kits, which start with the gearbox, the Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition had a completely different approach. The back end was to be built last, which was quite surprising. One of the first tasks involved cutting out the decals and applying them to the side of the body shell. This unusual step added a sense of novelty to the build.
Furthermore, the render of the model was already pre-cut and pre-painted, saving me a significant amount of time. Although I’m not particularly fond of pre-painted parts, it was a relief to have this convenience once in a while. Even the driver figure came painted, requiring only a touch of flesh-colored paint and the application of decals. Overall, the finish of the model was satisfactory, and decaling it myself added a personal touch.
A Testament to the Original Wild One
As I gazed upon the completed model, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of admiration. Being a huge fan of the original Wild One and the fast attack vehicle, I found myself appreciating the Blockhead Motors Edition even more. There’s something special about the design and performance of the Wild One, which, in my opinion, surpasses even the fast attack vehicle.
Whether it’s the enjoyable building process, the unique approach to assembly, or the homage to the beloved original, the Tamiya Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition has certainly won a place in my heart. It serves as a reminder of why Tamiya models continue to capture the enthusiasm of hobbyists around the world.
Tamiya Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition: A Unique and Intriguing Choice
When the Tamiya Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition was released, it immediately caught my attention. It was slightly different from the fast attack vehicle, yet there was something captivating about its appearance. Perhaps it was the familiarity combined with the element of surprise. As I observed the countless videos on YouTube showcasing these Blockhead Wild Ones, I knew I had to experience it for myself.
The Unveiling: Awe and Delight
After weeks of anticipation, the time came for me to finally assemble the Tamiya Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition. Although I already had a fair idea of what it would look like, the moment it was complete and placed in front of me, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe. It was truly awesome, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to choose this unique version.
The Decision: Blockhead or Standard?
When Tamiya released the Blockhead Motors Edition, they also brought back the standard wild one. While some enthusiasts may have desired to own both, I knew I had to make a choice. The pricing was identical, and it was time for me to decide which version to get. Without hesitation, I opted for the Blockhead Motors Edition.
Although both versions may offer similar performance and capabilities, there was something about the Blockhead that called to me. Its distinctiveness and uniqueness were the deciding factors behind my choice. I have never regretted my decision, and I am absolutely thrilled with my Blockhead Motors Edition.
Please note that the content provided here reflects my personal experience and preferences. Others may have different opinions and preferences when it comes to the Tamiya Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition. However, for me, it was the perfect choice.
To all the Tamiya enthusiasts out there, if you’re searching for a slightly different experience with the Wild One, I highly recommend considering the Blockhead Motors Edition. Its charm and allure will undoubtedly leave you delighted and eager to embark on exciting adventures.
The Tamiya Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition: A First Glance
I must admit, I am a bit perplexed about whether I want to add the Tamiya Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition to my collection. While it is undeniably appealing, I don’t want my collection to consist of similar cars. After all, that wouldn’t be a cost-effective way of expanding my repertoire. However, I can’t help but admire how stunning it looks.
Aesthetics and Design
Let’s take a closer look at the car itself. The first thing that catches my eye is its wild, adventurous appearance. I can confidently say that I haven’t come across anyone who doesn’t appreciate the beauty of the Wild One. But what makes this edition stand out is the Blockhead Livery, which brings a fresh and modern touch. Unlike the original design, which featured dark colors like black, red, and orange, this version pops with chrome accents that seem to be everywhere. And believe me, I love it even more than I anticipated.
Out-of-the-Box Build
When it comes to the build, I decided to keep it stock. No alterations, no fancy additions. Even the bearings were left aside, and I went with the standard bushes. So far, it has been a delightful experience. The assembly process went smoothly, and the result is a beautiful, authentic build. It’s worth mentioning, though, that one needs to be cautious when removing the chrome parts from the tree, as they can be quite delicate.

Attention to Detail
When it comes to Tamiya Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition, one thing you have to be careful about is the wheels. The chrome on them is prone to chipping, so you need to handle them with care. But despite this, there’s something undeniably lovely about this model. It’s a beauty that captures your attention and doesn’t let go.
An Intriguing Difference
While exploring the features of the Tamiya Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition, I noticed something that caught my interest. There might be a difference in the fast spot lights that come with the model. These lights actually have lenses, which I found intriguing. Curiosity got the better of me, and I cut out the lenses underneath in case I wanted to fit LEDs later. I wasn’t quite sure if there was a significant difference, but it didn’t matter because I loved the overall look of it.
Decal Dilemma
Tamiya Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition comes with an abundance of decals, providing you with plenty of options to customize your model. There are even two sets of spotlight decals to choose from. I decided to go with the blockhead Mart decals and place them over the lenses. However, it wasn’t a perfect fit since the adhesive was only on the outside and in the middle. As a result, the decals lifted a bit, but strangely enough, I found myself drawn to this imperfect look. Interestingly, a friend named James had already done the same thing, which I discovered after posting a picture on my Facebook group. Perhaps I had seen his version before and unknowingly copied it. Nevertheless, I adore the end result.
A Cool Finish
Now, there’s no denying that the Tamiya Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition has been heavily covered and dissected by enthusiasts all around. So, I won’t bore you with a step-by-step account of taking the body off. However, I must mention the captivating aspects of this model. The chrome accents, such as the Crumb from arms and sidebars, add a touch of elegance. And let’s not forget the wheels, which are also decked out in shiny chrome. Lastly, the gearbox is a standout feature, showcasing Tamiya’s excellence in design and engineering.
And that’s it. The Tamiya Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition is a model worth having, cherishing, and perhaps even spending some time tinkering with. It’s a piece of art that combines attention to detail with a dash of personalization, giving hobbyists a chance to create something truly unique.
Tamiya Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition: A Cool Addition to the Collection
Let me start by saying that the Tamiya Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition is absolutely awesome. As a fan of Tamiya’s blockhead series, I was thrilled to add this edition to my collection. The chrome gearbox is a standout feature that adds a cool factor to the overall design.
A Unique and Eye-Catching Design
When I first saw this edition, I was immediately drawn to its unique appearance. The combination of the chrome gearbox and the little flag is what sets it apart from the rest. It may seem like a small detail, but it really adds to the overall appeal of the model. I can’t wait to display it in my cabinet alongside my other Tamiya models.
A Refreshing Addition to the Collection
Having this Tamiya Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition in my collection is a refreshing change. Whenever a new model joins my collection, my eyes are naturally drawn to it. This edition stands out among the rest and brings a new level of excitement to my collection.
Blockhead Hotshot: A Different Perspective
While I appreciate the Blockhead Hotshot edition, I can’t help but feel that it lacks the uniqueness of the Wild One edition. The decision to give it the same look as the Wild One may have been a bit lazy in my opinion. If Tamiya plans to release more blockhead versions, I believe each one should have its own distinct design to keep things fresh and exciting.
As a follower of Blockhead on Instagram, I can already see the potential for different variations and designs. It would be great to see Tamiya and Blockhead collaborate to create even more captivating editions in the future.
The Tamiya Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition: A Perplexing Addition
Confusion Surrounds the Design
I just thought it was laser. I don’t know who was Les if it was Blockhead or if it was Tamiya, but um yeah, the hot shot too its. Basically, this same sort of color and Livery, which again it just kind of defeats. What block Id actually do?
The Missed Opportunity with The Hot Shot Too
In my opinion, um and again its not even a hot shot too, and why didn’t Tamiya release the hot shot too on it, as as the original version like they did with this and the wild one makes no sense, because then Tamia would have had the red Cvs shocks made which remade, which would allow us to get the Super Saver at some point as well: Hot Shot, Two super server, two cars I’m crying out for and the mud Blaster, but that’s a monster truck but uh yeah anyway.
A Special Thank You
So, ask the Elf, if you’re watching, a massive thank you, this is now going to go. Proudly I’ve got a slot over there in the collection for it well, get it put away Under The Lights mayor on it at some point of no idea, but right now, just with how things are um, I just haven’t got time.
Appreciation for Support
But um yeah I’m glad I made time to get it built right anyway, my friends thanks so much for watching it is honestly massively appreciated. You know all stuff like dislike comment subscribe, whatever um, whatever you do, would be much appreciated, right, I’m, gon na build something else.
Conclusion
While I ponder whether to add the Tamiya Wild One Blockhead Motors Edition to my collection, I can’t deny its charm. The modern twist on the classic design is undoubtedly appealing. For now, it remains to be seen if I’ll take the plunge and bring this eye-catching booger home.
