Building the Killer Max
When it comes to building RC cars, one of the models that I absolutely love is the Killer Max. I’m particularly fond of this build because I decided to mix and match different color options from the Parts Traxxas has to offer. But now, it’s time for a new project. I thought I’d feature the Sledge, as I’ve already been showcasing parts for it on our Instagram. However, a friend recently reminded me of a cool concept from my magazine days.
Building Three Different Ways
In the past, we used to take one truck and build it three different ways to showcase its versatility. We demonstrated what could be done with that particular model. And that’s exactly what we’re going to do now. We’re going to build a race truck, a bulletproof Basher, and a speed truck using as many Traxxas parts options as possible.
Introducing the Basher Truck
In this video, we’ll be focusing on the Basher truck. I have some really exciting plans for this build, so let’s head over to the bench and I’ll show you what I’ve got.
Parts for the Basher Project
Here are all the parts we’ll be installing for the Basher project. We have quite a lot to work with. The biggest change for this build is actually in the body. I decided to go with a summit body set, and I think it’s going to look really good. Of course, I’ll need to chop out the back to make room for the wing, but I believe it’s going to be a really cool-looking Basher. Unfortunately, I was only able to find an orange body, but I purchased it after carefully considering my options.
Overall, I’m excited to get started on this build. Stay tuned for the next installment, where we’ll be building the race truck. Together, we’ll explore the possibilities and push the limits of what the Traxxas parts can do. Get ready for an epic build series!
