My name is ammo guys in this video were going to take out the Maverick Quantum RX flock by HPI guys what a car this is. It’s a rally platform as you, where, if you haven’t seen the videos on this, please feel free to check out the last Video we done just up in this corner here, um and there’s, a couple of more videos there as well. We’ve taken it on a rally track, we’ve taken it on Tac and so forth.
Exciting Adventures with the Maverick Quantum RX Flux
What a car this is guys. However, we ain’t done a GPS run on this, so I thought to myself: let’s go, have a full on hon with this car. Have some proper bashing with it have some fun and do a proper GPS run, so we can Benchmark where, where this car sits in the collection. Without further Ado, let’s get into this guys were here on location, with our Maverick RX Quantum flux.
Ready for Some Hooning Sessions
Our little rally car, as you can see just here, um we’re going to do a couple of hooning sessions around this car park. We’ll probably take it into the park itself have a little blast before we get into the most important Speed Run. We haven’t speed tested this car. It’s a 4S stock vehicle and we’re going to see what this actually achieves. Did HPI and Maverick absolutely smash out the park with this one or not? In this video you’re going to see what it does, let’s get into this, it’s a proper little hoona.
GPS Speed Run and Hoon
This very damp weather makes it quite challenging to get traction for a speed run today. One might wonder if it’s a wise idea, Kyle, to attempt a speed run in such wet conditions.
The HPI Maverick Quantum RX Flux
Despite the moisture, we decide to give it a go since most wouldn’t dare. The ground is extremely wet and boggy, making it a tough terrain to navigate. It’s so moist that I can’t even give it full throttle.
Rally Track Adventure

This style of ground right next surface right, weve, come on to this uh soft Asal, obviously its a playground. So you know everybody knows what its like over Applause here mean. Look how that takes off when it catches, Applause grip, we reckon ammo, is up for the challenge guys see if we can get that was close, see if we can get a uh a good little drift around this pole go just too Applause. Slippery just gone, really. Really slippery all of a sudden is Applause. It yeah, maybe some, Maybe if you change the fluids, Etc. Yeah stiffen up the back, stiffen up the fluid in the back um I play around with the settings. We might be able to do stuff like that, with it yeah yeah.
HOONING WITH HPI MAVERICK QUANTUM RX FLUX
Tur it into a proper hoonigan truck, and then you go and pull some beauty off like that. I know its just one of those things: isnt Applause it look at that guys see. He did have it in Laughter him. I think HPI and Maverick done really really well with this something different, uh, very affordable, amazing Applause, car Music Applause – that is a wicked car Kyle whats. Your thoughts on that thats so much fun so much fun, its so different to the normal cars that we use to drift with Hoon with whatever you want to call it. Obviously, its not got the um gyro and things like that to help you control it. So it is a little bit more worker skill based so to speak.
GPS Speed Run with the HPI Maverick Quantum RX Flux
Um. Obviously I lack that, but something were going to pick up over the over the time with these cars and and hopefully many others of this style um, but no HPI, bang on with it.
Performance and Handling
Theyve got it really really well. Balanced. Tires are great on both for both grip when youre on the gravel and then on this sort of sort of uh terrain, its great for the drifting um overall yeah, its its great car. Absolutely great car guys were ready for a speed one with the Maverick Quantum RX excuse the noise, but next door busy Motorway, however another damp day, but were going to give this a run and lets see what top speed we can get out of this.
Speed Tests and Results
So what Ill do Ill set set up the GPS right, its all ready, ready to go guys um lets go, do a speedrun here we come guys Im, not sure what this is going to get its quick. Let give it another one that wasnt Full Throttle theres Full Throttle. Just there Kyles controlling this, as he loves doing speed runs. So I give him the opportunity nice, I think hes going for one more. He probably believes theres more in it and hes, probably not pinning it right down just cuz its so wet. Let see what she comes with W nice. That was quick lets see what she got nice right, guys Im going to stop the GPS lets press read wow. What are you thinking Kyle? I think I think we around the 38 39 mark on that it dont feel as fast as what we did with the FTX last week.

However, like I’ve recently done a couple of projects, I did one on the FTX crawler and I really wanted to finish that, so I literally jumped on that and got that done, first etc. But this run has allowed me to see where this actually fits in the collection and it’s funny, because most of our cars are running 40 mph plus. That’s impressive. I’m quite impressed with that. I didn’t really think this would have been capable of close to 50 mph. I think, in the dry and with some heat on the tarmac, warmer weather. This will hit 50 mph guys, what a car!

I picked this up from Wheel Spin Models, check them out. There are a couple of other retailers out there that do these. What a car! If you’re out there looking for a rally car, guys, you don’t need to spend £450 or £400 on other brands with a rally car. You can get this one for like, I believe it was like £225 or something I paid for it. I will put the correct price somewhere here on the screen, but yeah what a car, guys!
