Today In Talbot’s Shop – Things to Come + Q&A

Banger Banger Racing

I’ve built myself a radio-controlled Banger Banger racing car, which is considered the world’s most violent Motorsport. Back in the day, I used to participate in this thrilling sport. Now, I have a radio-controlled version and there’s a club here on the Y man where enthusiasts gather to race. At the same club, they also race little cam Tech minis. These mini cars are incredibly cheap, making them accessible to anyone interested in the sport. The cars have a basic design, so it all boils down to the skill of the driver rather than expensive equipment.

Inside Look at the Mini Cars

Taking a closer look at the mini cars, you’ll find that the chassis is made of a lightweight material resembling fake carbon fiber. The car features a solid axle without differentials, a 17-turn 2s lipo motor, and one gear driving directly onto the axle. Despite their simple design, these cars are surprisingly fast. Even with a basic motor, the cars can reach high speeds, providing an exhilarating racing experience. The simplicity of the cars adds to the excitement as it levels the playing field for all competitors.

Driver Skill Reigns Supreme

While some may choose to invest in expensive motors and upgrades, it won’t necessarily guarantee a win. The cheap motors are already powerful enough to keep the race competitive. This levels the playing field and emphasizes the importance of driver skill in determining the outcome of the race. Winning isn’t about who has the deepest pockets, but rather about who can navigate the track with precision and speed.

Favorite Racing Cars

Among all the cars I’ve raced, two-wheel drive buggies hold a special place in my heart. These cars may be a bit more expensive than the mini cars, but the same principle applies – having deep pockets won’t guarantee victory. The thrill of racing comes from the challenge of mastering the controls and outmaneuvering opponents on the track. Two-wheel drive buggies offer a different racing experience, combining speed and agility to create a unique and exciting competition.

Q&A Session

During a recent Q&A session, participants had the opportunity to ask questions about the future of racing at Talbot’s Shop. Many were curious about upcoming events, new tracks, and potential changes to the rules. The discussion highlighted the passion and dedication of the racing community, as members eagerly anticipate what’s to come in the world of radio-controlled racing.

Exploring the World of RC Racing

If you got a touring car for example, or like a shoar atam, or something like that, you got to spend and buy all the latest and greatest gear just to be of a chance of Win It with with this here and with the Min over there. You can have a car thats like five six, seven, eight years old, old, motor old speed controllers, old radio and you can still be in with a chance of winning a race at Club level anyway.

Exciting New Projects

So this is a brand new latest and greatest thing so were going to get this built, thats, actually my next project and then Im going to take it back to the UK and race it there at my UK club Im hoping theyre going to start racing these Here on the a man really enjoyable form of RC racing up here. Ive got a lossy mini be and they do actually race these here on the island. Man – and I raced this here a couple of weeks ago, and it was actually loads of fun – pretty much.

New Tires for Enhanced Performance

The same as that, but smaller down here, Ive got these evil. Looking paddle tires, Ive got two different designs, so theyre still in the packet, but you probably cant see it on camera, but the the treads on these are sort of some sort of staggered. Thingy mag – and these are just sort of like your generic paddle tires and here Ive got another set of paddle tires, are supposed to go to the mini Revo.

Other Updates

In other news, Talbot is working on reducing the echo in the shop, particularly in the studio area. More furniture is being brought in, especially for the studio where the RC vehicles are showcased. Plans are in place to add shelving and possibly some sound deadening materials to create a more optimal environment for displaying the collection.

Expanding Studio Space

In my other studio in the UK, there’s no sound deadening and it’s fine in there. I’ve just got more stuff in there. So once I start getting more stuff into this studio here, then the audio is going to start getting a bit better.

Keeping Connections in the UK

Now, I’m still keeping my shop in the UK. A lot of people have said to me: “Kev, what’s going on with your UK crew? Are you still going to make videos in the UK?” Yes, I’m still going to make videos in the UK and I’m still keeping my shop there.

Best of Both Worlds

So I’m going to go to the UK, probably once a month, to visit friends and family and do some videos. It’s going to be the best of both worlds. I’ve got a whole load of new stuff to do here on the island, and also all the stuff that I love doing back in the UK.

Learning to Fly

It’s a bit of a drive actually, it’s like a four-hour drive and then it’s four hours on the boat to get here. So I’m actually learning to fly an airplane. The idea is that if I want to quickly nip to the UK or quickly come back to the island in a plane, I can do it in one hour. So that is the plan.

Channel Updates

Those of you guys that are on this channel obviously know about both of my channels. Stay tuned for more exciting content coming your way!

The Birth of the Main Channel

So this is my dedicated RC Channel and my main channel is my main channel. The idea of the main Channel always was right from the GetGo. It was just about sharing my hobbies, be it monster trucks, Land Rovers off-roading, fast cars, RC cars, business, it doesn’t matter what whatever my interests were, and I at the time that is what the intention of the main channel was uh, but I kind of got Into RC quite heavily and it kind of went to mainly RC content. So then, when I posted stuff that was non RC, most people liked it, but some people complain it’s not RC uh, so this channel here is dedicated to RC.

Focusing on RC Content

All the dedicated RC videos now on this channel and over on the main Channel there’s still going to be RC content, but more like the RC content. That I’m really proud of you know not just you run the M xmax on the skate park or just a bang good special unboxing. You know, I know, I see people love those sort of videos but on the main Channel I’m trying to get that more into. Like really special, more amazing, more one off stuff, like the the world’s fastest RC car stuff, like that building the monster truck I’ve got other projects, L up as well that I want to do. I want to break some World Records.

Exciting Projects to Come

I want to do stuff on that channel that doesn’t really happen every day and there’s a little bit more special and stuff that I’m a little bit more proud about when I put videos out, but I still love doing the run of the real videos that’s.

The Love for RC

What got the main Channel pretty much to where it is, and I love RC, I love filming RC. I love editing RC, I love all of it about it. The community all of it and I dont want all that to go away. I still want to do it, so that is what this channel is for, so you’re still going to see RC content on both channels, uh just normal RC, content on this channel and all the other stuff stuff that I’m all proud of over on the main Channel man.

The Customer’s Always Right?

I tell you what, it’s impossible keeping everybody happy doesn’t matter what you do. Somebody always complains, and you know there is a saying that says the customer is always right, but as a group not just as an individual. So if a couple of people complain and say it doesn’t really matter, but if everybody complains then yes, you got to listen right.

What’s Cheap and Expensive?

Lets have a look at some of you guys questions and do a quick question and answers cut. The people said 300 is not cheap for a bang. Good special price is a relative thing, so when you say cheap there isn’t a certain level, it’s not a fixed pound or dollar figure. What’s, cheap and what’s expensive. So, like a 50,000 Rolls Royce is a cheap Rolls Royce and a 300 like hobby grade crawler is a cheap radio control, Growler it’s all relative that compared to a Traxxas trx4 cheap, a 10 million super yard.

The Super Yacht Discussion

“I can’t afford it, but it’s still a cheap super yacht,” muses Richard as he navigates through the questions from his viewers. The debate on nitro versus electric rages on, with each having its own set of pros and cons. The topic is diverse and sparks an array of opinions.

Camera Queries

Viewers are curious about the camera Richard uses, a tiny device mounted for recording. He mentions it’s an Insta 360, a small white gadget that captures all the action. The attention to detail and equipment choices intrigue the audience.

Community Appreciation

Amidst the questions and discussions, there is a sense of camaraderie as Hunter expresses his love for the channel. Richard acknowledges the support, thanking his viewers for being a part of the growing community. The positivity and encouragement from the audience are overwhelming.

Upcoming: The Max Slash

The anticipation builds as many inquire about the Max Slash, a new addition on the horizon. Richard confirms its arrival, creating a buzz among fans eager to see it in action. The excitement for the future content is palpable.

Defending His Style

Addressing criticism, Richard defends his approach towards treating his RC cars. He asserts his ownership and creative control over the content he produces, catering to a specific audience. The diversity of YouTube content allows for varied preferences, catering to different tastes and preferences.

Exciting Things to Come!

Today in Talbot’s Shop, we have some exciting things in store for you. From old favorites to new surprises, we are dedicated to bringing you the best in RC cars at affordable prices. Whether you’re a fan of the old tall, butt bashing models or interested in exploring the world of Dirty Cheap pares, we’ve got something for everyone.

Driving an RC Car on Two Wheels

Have you ever wondered how it’s possible to drive an RC car on two wheels? It may seem like a daunting task, but with the right technique, it can be quite simple. By adjusting the differentials and mastering your steering skills, you can easily get your car up on two wheels. The gyro effect created by the spinning wheels helps to stabilize the car in the air, making it a fun and exhilarating experience.

Why Talk So Loud?

One question that often comes up is why Talbot always talks so loud. The answer is simple – it’s all about engaging with the audience. By speaking energetically and passionately about RC cars, Talbot has been able to connect with viewers and increase his views. It’s all about giving the viewers what they want and keeping them entertained.

Q&A Session

Do you have any burning questions about RC cars or Talbot’s Shop? Now is your chance to ask! Whether you’re curious about a specific model, want to know more about upcoming releases, or simply have a general inquiry, feel free to leave your questions in the comments below. We love hearing from our fans and are always happy to provide answers and insights.

The Smash Test

It looks like someone has too much money. Keep smashing Boop up, boop, boop boop, funny LOL. As long as you guys are viewing I’ll keep smashing, but saying that, though, a lot of people think I’ll just smash all my stuff up for views. Even before the days of YouTube, I used to bash just as hard and it’s just now that I film it and it goes on YouTube people think I’m doing it just for views. I mean, even when I’m not filming, I’m the same – work hard, play hard, and then go home and fix all the mess, no review.

Product Review Philosophy

What did you think of this car that’s? When I did a little video on this here? My videos are not really reviewed, you know, I just beat the hell out of stuff. I tend not to give an opinion really because whatever opinion you have someone’s going to disagree anyway. So I do the video of the car and it doesn’t really matter what I think. You can see how durable it is. Whatever you see in the video is exactly how the product performed – the good and the bad. So, you know, my opinion doesn’t matter. Watch the video, see if you like the car, and then make up your own opinion because you’re the one that’s going to buy the car. So it’s your opinion that counts, not mine, man.

Behind the Scenes

Creating content for my channel may seem like a dream job, but it’s important to remember the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. I have invested a significant amount of time and money into this venture, spending countless hours filming, editing, and responding to emails. It is a full-time job that requires dedication and passion.

Dreams Coming to Life

Despite the challenges, seeing my dreams come to life is truly rewarding. Whether it’s playing with RC cars or exploring new adventures with friends, every moment captures the essence of what I love to do. It’s a dream come true to share my passion with others and receive recognition for my efforts.

Future Plans

One exciting development on the horizon is my plan to upgrade my Land Rover Defender, fondly known as “Andy the Landy.” The vehicle is due for some enhancements, including a galvanized chassis, a roll cage for added safety, and improved suspension for off-roading adventures. While engine upgrades are still under consideration, I am eager to enhance the performance of my beloved vehicle.

Q&A Session

During a recent Q&A session, one viewer expressed admiration for the Raminator and its capabilities in the Primal game over truck. I shared my enthusiasm for this impressive RC car and offered to let the viewer experience it firsthand. Additionally, inquiries regarding the status of Andy the Landy were addressed, with plans for upgrades revealed to enhance its overall performance. Stay tuned for more exciting updates on my channel!

A Glimpse into the Future

Somebody said about with a guy from diesel pumps UK. I have chatted with him. His engines are really expensive. I am tempted. However, I was going to turn the Land Rover into something really crazy, like a big thousand horsepower Chevy big block engine in there, a trophy truck style suspension space frame. But then I thought there’s going to be nothing left of the original Defender, so I might as well just keep the Defender that I’ve got and keep as many parts on it that I can and then build another car that’s completely built from scratch. Otherwise, I’m just going to break apart the Land Rover for no reason so I don’t know. I’m not sure what engine to put in there – nothing too crazy, but it needs to have more power than what it’s got now. It’s a bit lazy, right?

Plans and Projects

I’m going to go upstairs now and build my Associated B7 buggy and then head back to the UK to race it, see all my friends and family, and do some videos there as well. There’s loads to get on with, but not enough time.

Question and Answer Session

Q: What made you decide to keep the original Defender and build another car from scratch?

A: I realized that I wanted to preserve the essence of the Land Rover Defender while still satisfying my desire for a high-powered vehicle. Starting fresh on a new build seemed like the best way to achieve both goals.

Q: Are you leaning towards any specific engine for the new project?

A: I haven’t quite decided yet, but I’m looking for something with a good balance of power and practicality. It needs to give the vehicle a boost without overpowering it.

Q: What excites you the most about racing your buggy in the UK?

A: It’s always an exhilarating experience to race in a familiar environment surrounded by friends and family. The sense of camaraderie and competition fuels my passion for racing.
