The Color Choices
They already have space for it, they’re just not there. Another thing people were asking a lot thought about is: can you put a wide Max kit on it? I’m not sure if you can or not, but you know what maybe we’ll find out – maybe I’ll give it a shot and see if it works. All right guys, here they are, we don’t get to see the red one. However, we get the green, blue and, of course, the beautiful rock and roll color. So that’s the color I have – and we were joking around. This is more like a Kawasaki green for you Motocross guys and then your Yamaha blue, but man, these look good. I always gravitate towards the greens. I’ve got to stop doing that. That blue looks sick too. I’m happy with my choice, though.
The Versatility
I mean, the rock and roll is sick, but guys, this truck is an absolute machine. What a unit! So what’s cool is, you can basically use any of the Max upgrades. I think I’m going to do an upgrade video, guys. What components do you want to see on my Max slash? Let me know because there’s a lot of them, a whole bunch of them. Oh, and I don’t know what colors I should go with. What color scheme should I go? Should I go with the oranges? The cool thing about the when we got those X? Actually, I think we went with the blue, I believe the blue, yeah. So mine’s that rock and roll color.
The Color Dilemma
I went to that black one so yeah in regards to color. We can either go with orange. I think the orange look good with the uh with the rock and roll. However, I think the blue will look good too.
Pink Edition Excitement
I dont know well see seriously guys look at this. I just noticed this: they have a pink Edition, brushless rustler 4×4 thats, the Stampede but dang it the pink Edition. Really I love the pinks.
Battery Mounting
Another question I got guys was: how do the batteries mount in? So someone wanted to see how the two 3s batteries sit in there. I have the 4S battery in there now the 6700 fits in there perfectly fine. However, when you want to put two 3s batteries in basically theres, this foam block that actually comes in the car when you buy it so its going to be sitting right there, and then you put the two 3s batteries in hope. I just grabbed the right ones like so there you go two 3s batteries in there and then the battery bar just comes on over now.
Safety Tip
One thing I highly recommend is putting the body Clips in these holes right here to hold the battery bar down, because if you land crazy, actually there was one jump where the batteries went flying out, because I forgot to put these clips in there. The body Clips in there, but after you put those body Clips in there, this bar cant open up so yeah.
The Design of Traxxas Maxx Slash
I love that design its awesome. You can rest assure your batteries arent going to go flying out, but essentially that is how the batteries mount in. Just like that boom.
Highspeed Testing Facility
All right guys were back at my old school highspeed testing facility were about to test the max slash on 6s. The last time I was driving it I wasnt doing true speed test. I was going through a field and I kept reiterating in that video how windy it was even that small speedrun. I did in that school parking lot. The front end came up like crazy, so its nice and calm tonight we should be able to get some good speed and well get the true out of the box stock speed.
Focusing on Speed
Lets. Do it were doing this one, a little different guys, you guys were calling for 60 MPH calling out my speedrun well youre, going with the car. This time were doing some good old school fpv with these speedruns should be fun.
Challenges and Success
All right if youre wondering why I shot at so many places that first location I went to at night, I couldnt drive with confidence I felt like I was letting off a little early. It wasnt a long enough Runway and then I tried to do it on my street, which I dont know why. I decided that that was a bad idea. There werent very many cars on the street and I thought maybe I could do a nice clean, speedrun down the middle, but I slammed into that trash can yeah that that was not a good idea, but I knew a massive parking lot that I could get on It and have confidence that I wouldnt run out of Runway, even though I did anyways, but I did get my max speed in that parking lot and it is 61 mph, so it will do 61.
The Need for Speed
Now, with that said, the Traxxas Maxx Slash covers a lot of ground really fast. Like mentioned in the original review, you have to have a lot of runway to really push this RC truck to its limits. Getting speeds of 61 mph may not be feasible in your yard or on your street; it’s just too dangerous. The need for a big, massive runway is crucial if you want to test the full potential of the Traxxas Maxx Slash.
Body Off, Speed On
To be completely honest, hitting 61 mph may require some adjustments. The reviewer mentioned getting 59-60 mph without any issues. However, the key to reaching that 61 mph mark was running the truck with the body off. Surprisingly, without the body creating drag, the Traxxas Maxx Slash was more stable and performed better in speed runs. It seems that sometimes, less is more when it comes to achieving top speeds with this powerful RC truck.
