4WD HPI Maverick Phantom MT Best Cheap RC Truggy Monster Truck Buggy Car for Under £130.00 Unboxing

Introduction

So this is a brand new vehicle by HPI, just been released, the Phantom MT. Not many people are talking about them yet, but do you actually know about them? I’m sure those of you watching the channel will know about these.

Unboxing the Phantom MT

Today, we are going to take a look at the Phantom MT by HPI Maverick. Could this be the ultimate best bang for buck RC car out there? Without further ado, let’s dive into this unboxing.

Specs and Price

First and foremost, a huge shout out to HPI for sending this over. At just £129.99 in the UK, this car is an absolute steal. The specifications are impressive, making it a must-have for any RC enthusiast.

Comparisons and Expectations

There are other vehicles in the market that have generated a lot of hype, such as the Armor Gorgon. However, I believe that the Phantom MT has the potential to outshine them all. Even without opening it yet, the anticipation is already building.

Box Packaging

The box itself is very striking, with eye-catching graphics that hint at what’s inside. This unboxing experience is just the beginning of exploring all the features and components of the Phantom MT.

Specifications and Features

The Phantom MT is a 1/10 scale vehicle, equipped with four-wheel drive and water resistance. It comes ready to run, complete with a charger and battery. These details give you a glimpse of what you can expect from this affordable RC truggy.

Nickel Hydrate Battery and Brushed Vehicle

It is a nickel hydrate battery for you guys out there and it is a brushed vehicle. It’s not a brushless, however, you know we’ll probably end up putting a brushless at some point, but I really want to see what this is all about. As a brushed car, especially being four-wheel drive at that sort of money, a monster truck four-wheel drive 129.99 that’s got to be for absolutely everyone out there. It’s smashing prices out there, guys. One-tenth scale and yeah, I’m really looking forward to opening this.

Features and Specifications

As you can see from the box art, it does come with oil-filled shocks. It also has a 550 12-turn brushed motor. While the motor may be on the slower side, it’s still worth exploring the potential of this vehicle. The inclusion of oil-filled shocks adds to the overall appeal and performance of the car.

Unboxing Experience

Opening the box, the package is really nicely put together. Upon pulling out all the components, it becomes evident that the manufacturers have taken care in ensuring that everything is well-organized and protected during transportation. This attention to detail bodes well for the overall quality of the product.

So here you’ve got your um, I believe it’s a manual and you have a USB charger with a Tamia style connector for your nickel meth hydrate battery and you have your controller. Let’s get this little beast out.

The Controller

The controller itself, it’s um, it’s quite decent, to be fair, considering the price of the vehicle. It’s not huge and it’s not small, nice control on there, nice Pham pad for your steering. You have got loads of switches on it, so you got your throttle end points there.

You got your steering jewel rates, steering reverse and throttle reverse. You got your trim settings, your on and off button just there as well, and you have a bind button. You also have this carbon fiber look grip. It’s not actually carbon fiber, it’s the plastic that looks like it’s been designed to look like carbon fiber, which is quite cool. At the bottom here you have your battery compartment.

What’s Included

The package includes a USB nickel metal hydrate charger. It’s just a USB connector.

On that side, um, you put it just to a 5vt, plug, Etc, and that should charge your battery up um. If you are like myself, an Enthusiast where you’ve got loads of models, I’m pretty sure you’ve got one of them USB charge, not USB charge.

Charger and Accessories

My mistake: you’ve got one of those Chargers where you can charge multiple batteries, Etc. Uh for all your liode and they’ll do different chemistries and that’s. What I’ll probably use on this to be fair um? You do have these look like which they are, is Servo horns um? Well, they are the spaces that go on the server hores I’m, not sure why we’ve got these, but we’ve got three of these. There um there must be a reason for that at some point.

Registration and Information

So here you’ve got your guarantee registration card. Um join my HPI free today, uh with some technobabble on there. You can check that out. There’s also um connect with HPI just there and that gives you all their social media, um platforms Etc just there. Exploded Diagrams and Optional Parts

I guess I dont believe it has exploding diagrams, Etc. It does have or actually Im need my own words again aint I I am guys it does have exploded diagrams, so for those of you that lose any parts, Etc, youve got exploded. Diagrams and the diagrams are posted with uh part numbers, part numbers. You can check. Just here and itll tell you what the part is and you can order it direct from a HPI dealer itself. You can have all sorts on this, so guys, yeah, Fair few optional Parts. Just there interesting all right put that to a side, guys

Impressive Paint Job

Ive just taken the packaging off, and this paint job on this shell looks absolutely striking. It catches the eye immediately with its vibrant colors and sleek design. The attention to detail is evident in the design of the shell, making this RC truggy stand out from the rest.

Unboxing

After watching this video, just look at that paint job – it’s amazing! HPI has done really well on this. In terms of looks, it looks really nice and HPI always does great shocks. Straight out of the box, the bounce test proves it’s really nice with no adjustments needed. The wheels are absolutely beautiful, with really grippy tires that provide great traction. There’s a nice protection bullar on the front to protect the shell. The plastic chassis runs throughout the vehicle.

Details

Taking off the pins and looking inside, the shell is well-designed with nice touch details like the “mvk” writing in light blue along the side. The overall design is impressive and really stands out.

Shock Positions

It has got different positions to move your shocks across if you wish, but once again your rear drive. Shafts looks absolutely amazing.

Components

Guys um got your Servo just your receiver and your speed controller, which I believe you can run on a 2s lipo um should be stated just there. There you go so you just move them tabs over and you can run it on a lipo if you wish.

Power Up

So guys, Im going to power this up and uh lets see what its like controllers on right. I have just checked. Also um the servo for your steering, so steering servo does have a Servo saver on there. I dont believe personally um the servo itself is quick. It looks a bit slow, but there is a Servo saver on there uh just to stop you burning it out. So are arent sake. If your wheels are stuck turned youre not going to burn your Servo out um, which is good for those of you out there that are beginners and new to the Hobby, it will help you guys, obviously but uh, for the enthusiasts that have been bashing for a While you probably want to upgrade that so scross the servo speed, it is quite slow, um thats, my honest opinion um, but guys bear in mind. It is 129.99. So when I press right and it stays right – thats the servo saver itself, um but yeah. You could probably adjust that and maybe slacken it off a bit but yeah.

The Unboxing

Now. What Im intrigued to see is how fast is wheel. Spin all right lets check this out guys. Hopefully it doesnt fly out my hand, Music, not bad, get talking. Yes, its got. Some talk to it, I give it that reverse whoa yeah its definitely got some talk to it, little bit of ballooning on them T, but not a lot guys. Fantastic Im, really intrigued to get this bit of Kit out to be fair um.

Size Comparison

I think what Im going to do is show you guys a size comparison to a couple of the other HPI trucks. Just to give you guys an idea of what youre actually getting for your money, so quick size comparison, guys, weve got the new Phantom brushed Mt. Just here and weve got the Maverick Quantum plus flux trust bit of a tongue twist of this name um. But this is the plus version, so its slightly bigger, though its a one10, its more like a 18 uh. But it gives you guys an idea of the size difference and guys this aint too far off this to be fair. Yes, this has got bigger Wheels, however theyre not too too different, uh in terms of size, but yeah. It just gives you guys an idea, but I think the main competition arrival for this vehicle is this one, the armor Gorgon guys we did. We used this armag Gorgon as one of the best bang for book um cars out there.
