Hosim X07 Brushless RC Truggy Test Drive & Review

Test Drive Experience

As soon as you start driving the Hosim X07 Brushless RC Truggy, it becomes clear that the traction provided by the tires leaves much to be desired. The lack of grip makes it difficult to maintain control, and even on grass, the handling is far from smooth.

At full throttle, the truggy becomes even more challenging to handle. It easily flips, making it a struggle to navigate turns without losing control. Surprisingly, it is capable of doing wheelies, which raises the question of whether the wheelie bar is actually necessary.

On pavement, the traction slightly improves compared to grass, but the truggy still struggles to maintain control. It easily drifts around turns, showcasing its unpredictable nature. The truggy offers excitement but requires careful maneuvering to prevent flipping.

Performance on Different Surfaces

The truggy’s performance on grass is disappointing, as it continuously flips and becomes hard to handle. The lack of traction is a major drawback in off-road conditions, making it difficult to enjoy a smooth driving experience.

On pavement, the truggy performs slightly better, but its tendencies to flip and drift persist. It requires a significant amount of skill and practice to master the art of driving this RC truggy on different surfaces.

Final Thoughts and Impressions

The initial impressions of the Hosim X07 Brushless RC Truggy are a mixture of excitement and frustration. It is undeniably fast and has a thrilling, flippy, and squirly nature. However, this comes at the cost of control and stability.

Getting used to the truggy’s handling requires time and patience. Knowing how much throttle to apply and when to slow down becomes a crucial part of the driving experience. Despite its challenging nature, it still retains an element of fun and excitement.

Overall, the Hosim X07 Brushless RC Truggy offers a unique and exhilarating driving experience. It may not be the easiest RC vehicle to control, but for those seeking a thrilling and unpredictable ride, it certainly delivers.

Initial Thoughts

The Hosim X07 Brushless RC Truggy looks great and it seems pretty durable. Despite flipping quite a few times during the test drive, nothing broke on it. However, it’s worth noting that it is currently 33 degrees outside, so the cold temperature may have made the plastic components more brittle.

Fun and Price

As a truggy, I find the Hosim X07 to be a fun RC car, especially considering its price. I personally don’t know of any other options on the market that can provide better value for the money. While you might be able to find something better if you’re willing to purchase a used car, in terms of brand new options, this truggy seems to be a solid choice.

Not Recommended for Young Kids

However, I would not recommend this truggy for young kids unless they have previous RC experience. The overall speed and performance of the car may be too much for a young child to handle. If you’re looking for a first RC car for a kid as a Christmas or birthday gift, I would suggest staying away from this particular model. While you can turn down the speed, it is still quite fast and requires a certain level of skill to control effectively.

I would recommend this truggy for kids who are at least 8 to 10 years old, as they will have better control over the car and be able to fully enjoy its speed and agility. However, it’s important to note that the truggy can be a bit challenging to control, which may be a deal breaker for some people.
