Introduction
The RC car community is buzzing with excitement as the “Holy Grail” of RC cars has been spotted! With a variety of classes and a nostalgic touch, this event is proving to be one for the books. Let’s take a closer look at what this race has to offer.
Old School Tour
As we embark on this RC adventure, we are transported back in time. The first annual 10 scale Showdown at indc World is breaking traditional norms, offering a variety of classes that are sure to captivate enthusiasts of all ages. Let’s dive into the details.
Unconventional Classes
In addition to the conventional races, this event dares to venture into uncharted territory. Gas trucks, a sight rarely seen nowadays, take center stage. The nostalgia is palpable as the exhaust fumes fill the air, bringing back memories of a bygone era in RC car racing.
Wide Range of Classes
Not only do we witness the mighty gas trucks, but we are also treated to a feast of other classes. Four-wheel drive buggies showcase their power, while open four-wheel drive short course trucks put on an impressive display of agility. The baby truck, a unique 10 scale four-wheel drive truck, adds an intriguing twist to the competition.
Nostalgic Vibes
The vintage class tugs at the heartstrings of many attendees. Reminiscent of a cherished era, these RC cars take us back to the origins of our hobby. The excitement is contagious as enthusiasts cherish the opportunity to race with classic models and experience the thrill once again.
Spec Slash: A Fan Favorite
The spec slash class has a special place in the hearts of many RC enthusiasts. These sleek and stylish cars, adorned with plaques, evoke a sense of pride and admiration. The dedication and craftsmanship put into these vehicles are truly awe-inspiring, making them a highlight of the event.
The Grand Finale
While every class holds its charm, there is one class that stands out as the most crucial and eagerly awaited. The title of the “most important class” goes to none other than… (to be continued)

The Novice Class and Exciting Giveaways
The novice class, sponsored by MSM and RC Box Club, is about to bring lots of excitement. These two classes have prepared a whole bunch of prizes to be given away, and it’s going to be awesome. Although the mystery boxes are sealed shut, I catch a glimpse of something interesting out of the corner of my eye.
A Glimpse of Vintage Cars
Among the prizes, there are some vintage cars that caught my attention. One of them is a kosho guy’s collection, which promises to have an array of kosho vintage items. Another intriguing car is the world’s car, known as the Beetle. And then, there’s a beast of a car – a four-wheel drive. I’m not entirely sure what model it is, but it’s called the Optimum Mid Turbo. Clearly, my knowledge of vintage cars is lacking, but the sight of them is remarkable.
Salvaging Parts and Modern Electronics
As I explore further, I stumble upon a car that seems to be a treasure trove of salvaged parts. The old-school design is impressive, and it’s a testament to the longevity of these RC cars. However, what catches my attention is the fact that the car is equipped with modern-day electronics. With this combination, it’s clear that this vintage car will leave everyone in the dust in the Vintage class.
The Holy Grail of RC Cars: Tama Blaz and Blazer
And then, I see it. This is the moment that captivates me completely. I am in the presence of greatness. It’s the Holy Grail of RC cars. The Tama Blaz and Blazer. This extraordinary piece in astonishing condition is worth anywhere between 2000 and 10000 dollars on eBay. Its rarity and desirability make it a highly sought-after item in the RC car community.
The Holy Grail of RC Cars
If you guys know you know, but I have to give some credit to this car because it is its crazy look at that. Guy. Look at the details of that! Guy man, that thing is sick.
MSM Team Drivers
Theres, Mr Chase MSM team driver. This is like the MSM team. Over here we got Jake, we got bar, we got Chase, we got Mr Mr Associated right. There Tyler Keel. He was on on the tone. Also yeah hes redhead its a little weird but anyways theres a gas truck. Look at that. I think this is the converted gas truck yeah the ignite gas truck, but I believe they convert a T5 into a nitro gas truck super cool.
The Coolest Car in the Race
I didnt even give credit to this truck look at this. This is probably the coolest car in the entire race. The MSM spec slash. You inherited this body right Barry was my MSM team driver and he gave it to Jake to run.
Dougs Beetle
Oh, my God. I just I just rubbed up on someone, sorry about that: Doug heres, Dougs, beetle, kosho beetle right yeah that things sick, heres a couple more MSM, guys Eric and Bobby heres a mini truy, so yeah thats, the EB. I was about to call it EB its a techno et410.
Driving a Baby Truck
Is that the point two? Yes, sir thats, the point two that ones awesome thats, what Im running heres another one theyre so much fun guys. They really feel like youre driving a baby, truy thats kind of what their dub baby truck.
RC Car Enthusiast Discovers Rare Find
I was just going to walk by these, but what caught my attention was a man who insisted on showing me something special. He proudly declared that he had set it up just for me. My curiosity piqued, I turned to see what he was so excited about. And there it was, the holy grail of RC cars.
An Unexpected Surprise
To my surprise, this RC car didn’t have any MSM stickers on it. Initially, I thought they were going to cut this one from their collection. But then the man clarified that it was a four-wheel-drive mod bug, not a racecar. It was merely a practice body. I stood corrected, feeling a bit foolish for assuming otherwise.
Attention to Detail
As I examined the car further, I noticed the small details that made it even more impressive. The owner had meticulously placed MSM stickers on the body, proving his commitment to the hobby. Not only that, but he also wore protective gear when racing, just like me. However, I couldn’t help but wonder about the unfamiliar brand of his racing shoes. They were called “Jord, one highs” or something like that.
Hot Bodies: A Unique Design
Beside the four-wheel-drive mod bug, there was also a two-wheel-drive buggy. Both of these RC cars belonged to the Hot Bodies brand. Hot Bodies always had a knack for creating unique designs, especially for their four-wheel-drive buggies. The cars looked sleek and stylish, certainly a feast for the eyes.
An Impressive Remote Control
While the RC cars themselves were impressive, what really caught my attention was the remote control. It was a work of art. The design was exquisite, with clean lines and a carefully chosen paint scheme. I couldn’t help but admire the beauty and craftsmanship put into this piece of equipment. It truly was a sight to behold.
A Day of Amazing Discoveries
As I continued exploring the RC car enthusiasts’ collection, I couldn’t help but marvel at the variety and uniqueness of each vehicle. It was a day filled with excitement and surprises, with every car showcasing its individuality and charm. And as I shared my own set-up for the vintage race, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of camaraderie among fellow enthusiasts who shared my passion.
And so, the search for the holy grail of RC cars continues, with every discovery adding to the excitement and wonder of this exhilarating hobby.
The Longest Antenna Tube
I know I’m not going to win with this thing and check out the antenna. I literally found the longest antenna tube I could find, dude, that antenna tube is insane, uh. The funny part about that antenna tube is there’s no antenna in there. I’m actually using an antenal list receiver, but anyways.
Aiming to Finish
My goal with this thing is not to win but to just finish the race without breaking, and yes, I’m running the paddles. I don’t think it’s going to be fast enough or powerful enough to even do anything crazy, so we’re running it just like this. We’re running a Tama grasshopper in the Vintage class, running for dead last because I know I’m not going to compete, especially with the four-wheel-drive kyos out there.
Having Fun
Nonetheless, I’m going to have fun, and it looks freaking sweet. Of course, I’m running spec slash. I’ve got to put my S1 tires on there, and then I’m running my short course. The brand new short course sat 410 2.0, that’s that one right there, and then my baby truck, the Techno ET Music, is the little grasshopper.
Exciting Race
So, I’m going to get some footage of me driving all my classes, and I’ll get some of the other cool classes like gas truck. That’s going to be a lot of fun. This is an awesome race, 120 entries in a one-day, 10-scale race. I can’t complain because, if you have children you want to for you, I would prer they don’t, and if they have to, I would prefer it to be over a certain age track out.
Track track is take scale, vintage, thats, full P, older than 30 years old
These RC cars on the track are a blast from the past. They are vintage, full of nostalgia, and have been around for over 30 years. These are the cars that were commonly used back when you were a kid, and some of them are still being raced around today.
Marshall Marshall Marshall, help that one out wor man uh, is that bjo stuck
On the track, Marshall, the race official, is trying to help a car that seems to be stuck. It’s not going well for the driver named Bojo. He thought that using a four-wheel-drive car would give him an advantage, but he’s struggling to get around the track. Despite going at full speed, Bojo’s car just can’t make it.
He goes full pin, oh Mark s. How are you going that slow and still that’s it not able to get around the track?
Another racer named Mark S. is also having troubles on the track. Even though he is going at a slow pace, he is still struggling to navigate the corners. It’s perplexing to see how a car can go at full throttle and yet fail to make it around the track smoothly.
L CL holding station in the three work on: oh no Cent, the mar you all right trying to get away Music Applause from clear.
There is a chaotic moment on the track as multiple cars collide. L CL is trying to hold his position in third place, while Cent, another racer, is trying to overtake him. It’s a frantic scene as they jostle for position, causing a bit of chaos and excitement for the spectators.
Second, oh my God. Oh my goodness, guys remind me to never run four classes in a one day, race ever again, I’m exhausted.
After finishing the race in second place, one racer exclaims in disbelief. Running in four different classes in a single day has taken a toll on his energy. The exhaustion is evident in his words, and he vows never to do it again. It’s clear that racing multiple classes in a day is physically demanding and mentally draining.
I have two more races left. I have 17 races total. Today I made the aains and everything I have some unfortunate news.
Despite feeling tired, the racer reveals that there are two more races left in the day, making a total of 17 races. They have performed well so far, making it to the “aains,” which is an impressive feat. However, there is some unfortunate news to share, creating a sense of anticipation and curiosity among the readers.
The grasshopper didn’t make it. It made it to the very last main, so the fourth race, and I got blasted on a jump and it broke.
In a disappointing turn of events, the racer informs us that the grasshopper, one of their RC cars, didn’t make it. The grasshopper managed to reach the fourth and final race, but during a jump, it suffered a critical breakage. The incident represents a setback and a missed opportunity for the racer.
But I put it back together and, yeah, it just didn’t go as smooth
The Elusive Holy Grail of RC Cars Spotted
An Unexpected Turn of Events
My shock Springs were just kind of hanging off and then my battery tray, my battery, actually popped out. It was a disastrous moment, causing a wave of frustration to wash over me. As an avid RC car enthusiast, this was not the result I had hoped for. My heart sank as I realized I wouldn’t be taking home first place trophy this time.
But hey, in typical Mark fashion, I managed to salvage the situation and secured a respectable sixth overall position. It may not have been the win I desired, but it was still a podium finish.
A Thriving RC Car Community
Looking around the track, I couldn’t help but be amazed at the number of people who had gathered to watch the event. The cheering and excitement filled the air, creating a vibrant atmosphere that was hard to ignore. The RC car community is truly a force to be reckoned with.
As the race concluded, the crowd began to disperse. The once packed venue slowly emptied, leaving only a few stragglers behind. Time was of the essence as I hurried to wrap up my day at the track.

End of an Eventful Day
As the music from a nearby event started to fill the air, I realized it was time to put an end to my day at the track. Joining the others who were making their way out, I bid farewell to this exhilarating experience.
I couldn’t help but feel a sense of contentment, despite not achieving the victory I had set out for. The thrill of the race, the camaraderie amongst fellow enthusiasts, and the unexpected sighting of the Holy Grail of RC cars had made it a memorable day.
A Promise for the Future
Though the elusive trophy slipped through my fingers this time, I remain determined to conquer the race and secure the title. My passion for RC cars burns brighter than ever, and I am relentless in my pursuit of excellence.
