The Return of the VXL
When Traxxas announced that they were discontinuing the VXL, enthusiasts around the world were left feeling disappointed. However, the wait is over, and the VXL is back. But not just back—it’s better than ever! The new VXL comes equipped with heavy-duty components that are sure to impress even the most demanding RC car fanatics.
A Colorful Surprise
One of the most exciting aspects of getting a new RC car is discovering its color. The anticipation builds as you open the box, not knowing what shade will greet your eyes. Will it be orange or green? While some may argue that each color has its own appeal, there truly is no bad choice. The front of the box showcases an eye-catching angle of the orange Fiesta ST rally, while the other side features the irresistible green variant. Both options exude a sense of style and allure.
The Perfect Profile
But let’s not judge a car solely by its color. The side profile of the VXL is what truly steals the show. Its sleek design is accentuated by the clipless body mounting system, which gives it a clean and seamless appearance. The extruded aluminum Center Drive Shaft adds a touch of durability, while the high-torque digital steering servo ensures precise control during every thrilling ride. TSM technology and sealed steel gear differentials provide the confidence to tackle any terrain, no matter how extreme.
An Uncompromising Powerhouse
Now let’s talk about the heart of the VXL—the 3500 Velineon Extreme Brushless Power System. This beast of a motor delivers unparalleled speed and acceleration, pushing the limits of what an RC car can achieve. Paired with the extreme heavy-duty kit, the VXL is ready to dominate the race track or conquer challenging off-road trails.
As you can imagine, the VXL comes equipped with Traxxas’ legendary Ultra Shocks, ensuring a smooth and controlled ride over any surface. These shocks, combined with dual bellcrank steering and an oil-filled differential, create an experience that every RC enthusiast dreams of.
The Return of a Legend
The Traxxas VXL is back and better than ever. With its top-of-the-line features and eye-catching aesthetics, this RC car is sure to capture the attention of hobbyists and racing enthusiasts alike. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a beginner looking to dive into the world of RC cars, the VXL offers an experience unlike any other. So buckle up, grab the controller, and get ready to unleash the power of the VXL on the track.
The Ultimate Traxxas RC Car is Here!
Traxxas has done it again! This latest version of their RC car is back and better than ever. With its heavy-duty drive shafts and steel wheels, you can rest assured that this car is built to last. And let’s not forget about the hex caster blocks, steering blocks, and HD suspension arms – all designed to withstand the toughest terrains. And with oversized sealed bearings, you won’t have to worry about constantly repairing or fixing this beast.
The Only Weak Link
While this Traxxas RC car is solid and reliable in every aspect, there is one part that some users might find slightly weak – the shocks. However, these shocks are well-protected and enclosed, making it less likely for them to break easily. So you can push this car to its limits without worrying about damaging its suspension system.
Unleash the Speed
One of the most exciting features of this RC car is its incredible speed. Although the box might showcase a picture of the car reaching 60 MPH, it’s essential to note that it may not achieve this straight out of the box. However, with a few modifications like setting up the super high-speed gearing and using a 3s battery, you can certainly reach those exhilarating speeds. This car will do exactly what it promises on the box – you just need to unleash its true potential.
Aesthetically Pleasing
Traxxas knows that performance alone is not enough. That’s why they have partnered with Ford to create an officially licensed product available in two different color schemes. The green option, in particular, looks absolutely stunning. So open up the box and prepare to be amazed by the beautiful and sleek design of this RC car.
No More Upgrades Required
Unlike its predecessor, this Traxxas RC car eliminates the need for immediate upgrades to achieve maximum speed. You can simply purchase it, insert a 3s battery, and be ready to go. Traxxas has heard the demands of its customers and has delivered with a car that is ready to hit top speeds right out of the box.
So whether you’re a seasoned RC car enthusiast or a newcomer to the hobby, this Traxxas RC car is a game-changer. Its durability, speed, and aesthetic appeal make it a standout in the market. Get ready to experience unparalleled excitement and unleash the power of this phenomenal RC car!
Testing on the Track
We are excited to put this Traxxas RC car to the test on the track. It’s always thrilling to see how a new model performs and if it lives up to expectations. With the help of the Protek RC sprew Cutters, which we previously gave away in the RC Box Club, we are ready to see what this car is capable of. If you’re not a subscriber to the RC Box Club, be sure to check it out in the description below.
An Impressive Build
Upon first inspection, it’s clear that this Traxxas RC car is well-built and designed for performance. The CLI body comes off easily, revealing a clean and sleek interior. The aluminum Center Drive Shaft adds durability, although it’s worth mentioning that the BL2 S1 model comes with a plastic one, which may not be as impressive.
Robust Features
One of the standout features of this RC car is the blue heavy-duty plastics. These drive shafts are beefy and have proven to be extremely durable. In fact, even under intense driving conditions, no heavy-duty suspension components have been broken. This speaks volumes about the quality and robustness of this Traxxas model.
Strong Chassis
The chassis of this RC car is solid and built to withstand rough driving. The heavy-duty steering blocks and bearing carriers ensure stability and control. The blue shock towers not only add a visually appealing touch but also provide excellent support. Another noteworthy feature is the adjustable turn buckles, allowing users to fine-tune their camber and toe settings. This is a significant improvement over the fixed turn buckles found in the b2s model.
High-End Components
The Traxxas RC car comes equipped with a 2075 Servo, which is a higher-end option. This ensures responsive and precise steering control, adding to the overall performance of the vehicle. Comparatively, the b2s model came with a 2056 Servo, making this upgrade a welcome addition. With all the high-end components included, this Traxxas model promises an exceptional driving experience.
The Familiar VXL
In terms of the VXL, there aren’t any notable changes or surprises. As expected, it delivers the performance and power that we have come to associate with Traxxas. Whether it’s speed, acceleration, or overall responsiveness, the VXL does not disappoint.
In conclusion, this Traxxas RC car is a remarkable addition to the lineup. With its durable build, robust features, and high-end components, it’s clear that this model has been designed with quality and performance in mind. Whether you’re a seasoned RC car enthusiast or a beginner, this Traxxas RC car is sure to impress with its superior performance on and off the track.
The VXL: A Powerful RC Car with Advanced Protection Features
What sets the VXL apart from other RC cars in the market is its impressive array of protection features, including thermal and low voltage safeguards. Unlike most motors and ESCs, this model is designed to withstand high-intensity usage. You can push it to its limits without worrying about damaging the car, as it will automatically shut off when necessary. This is especially convenient for those who enjoy pushing their cars to the extreme, like myself, who has experienced overheating on several occasions.
A Sleek and Sturdy Chassis
The VXL features a sleek and clean LCG chassis that not only adds a touch of style but also enhances the car’s stability. The bottom of the chassis is built to withstand rough terrains and intense off-road adventures. Whether you’re tackling rocky surfaces or navigating through challenging obstacles, this car offers unparalleled durability and performance.
Rally Arms for a Powerful Ride
The VXL is equipped with the shorter rally arms, which were previously seen on the tellu ride. These arms not only contribute to the car’s sleek appearance but also offer improved control and maneuverability. With these rally arms, you’ll experience a whole new level of excitement and control as you race through different terrains.
An Unboxing Experience Like No Other
Upon unboxing the VXL, you’ll find the standard contents that come with most RC cars. The package includes springer containers, essential tools, and a Traxxas wrench that is intricately etched with the Traxxas logo. Although I don’t recall it being a silver piece of metal like this, the attention to detail is commendable. Additionally, the car comes with a 19 tooth gear, as well as a stock 1354 gear. For those looking for a bit more speed, there is also an optional 1954 gear available. Overall, the contents of the box meet expectations and provide everything you need to get started.
TSM: Enhancing Control and Stability
One of the standout features of the VXL is the inclusion of Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) in the TQi radio system. TSM ensures that the car maintains control even in challenging situations, offering a much smoother and more enjoyable driving experience. It’s worth noting that this car does not come with the stunning green beadlock Thumb Steer, which can be found at MSM blog for those interested.
In conclusion, the VXL is back and better than ever, impressing RC car enthusiasts with its advanced protection features, sleek chassis, rally arms, and TSM technology. With this car, you can push the limits of speed and performance without compromising control or durability. Whether you’re a seasoned hobbyist or a beginner, the VXL is sure to provide endless excitement and thrills.
This Traxxas RC Car is Back and Better than Ever!
A Beautiful Body
This model of Traxxas RC car is truly a sight to behold. With its stunning green paint scheme, it catches the eye and looks simply fantastic. The color combination of green on green is a winner, and it adds to the overall appeal of this car. However, it’s worth mentioning that as much as I appreciate this paint scheme, I have a soft spot for the older design on the first Ford Fiesta model, with its red, blue, and gray colors adorned with skulls. I personally think that design was absolutely amazing.
Now, I might be inclined to swap the body of this new model with the old Ford Fiesta body. However, there’s a small drawback. The rear part of the new body has holes for the body post, while the front would cover those holes. So if I were to go for the old body, it would have noticeable holes on the back, which might look a bit cheesy. That being said, it’s not a knock against the beauty of this body, I just have a strong preference for the older design.
A Much-Appreciated Change: The Wheels
Another positive aspect of this Traxxas RC car is its wheel design. Thankfully, the manufacturers opted for black wheels instead of the gray ones used in the b2s model. Personally, I’m not a big fan of the gray wheels, so this change is a welcome decision. The black wheels look much better and give the car a more polished appearance.
Considerations for Driving Conditions
Weather conditions can greatly impact the performance and longevity of an RC car. While I’m eager to take my brand new rally out for a spin, I’ve decided to forego driving it in the rain. In my experience, RC cars tend to behave differently after being driven in wet conditions. Therefore, in order to preserve the car’s performance, I’ve made the executive decision to keep it dry.
However, if you do choose to drive your RC car in the rain or in wet conditions, it’s important to take some precautionary measures. Make sure to cover the holes on the wheels with electrical tape. This can be done on the inside of the wheel, and it helps prevent water from entering and potentially damaging the internal components of the car.
In conclusion, this Traxxas RC car offers an updated and improved model with a beautiful, eye-catching body and stylish black wheels. While some may have personal preferences for previous body designs or have concerns about driving in wet conditions, this car is undoubtedly a great option for RC enthusiasts. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced hobbyist, this Traxxas RC car is back and better than ever!
Improved Design for Water Resistance
If this one even has it. It looks like it because you dont want water to get inside your foam thats, how the foam gets kind of broken down, and then you almost never ever get it out like it takes forever for it to get out of there.
Excitement for Enhanced Performance
So Im not going to do it Im just going to have fun with it on the track were going to try it with both the 2s and the 3s Im excited. I think its going to handle a lot better than people think it will all right.
Recommended Drive Mode
First, up were going to try it on 2s. This is what I recommend you drive it on, especially if youre driving on the track. I think 3s is just a little too ballistic, but sometimes you just want to party.
Easier Body Installation
I found the best way to put this body on is to grab it by the sides and then just kind of grab onto the bottom of the chassis and just push it on like that. If you push it down on top of the body, sometimes it will cave the body in so yeah, grab by the sides. I do like the clip of the body, but there is a little technique to Applause it.
Reliability Tested on the Track
All right, I beat this thing up, so it was fun now right off the bat I could tell there was a lot of body rub like the body was basically hitting the track.
Final Words
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide the final words of this article as per the given instructions.
The Adjustments and Challenges of the Traxxas RC Car
It was apparent from the start that the Traxxas RC car had potential. However, there were a few limitations that hindered its performance. The clipless body system, for instance, made it difficult to adjust the ride height. While it was possible to make adjustments in the front, the same couldn’t be said for the back. This posed a challenge, especially on the track where precision and control are essential.
Overcoming the Body Issues
To tackle the body grabbing issue, trimming the body seemed like a reasonable option. By doing so, it was hoped that the car would handle corners and bumps more smoothly. This adjustment, however, would primarily benefit track driving. Nevertheless, driving the car on various terrains like 3s and 2s was recommended. Testing it on 3s, although providing immense power, resulted in thermal issues after about 10-15 minutes on the track. Therefore, sticking to 2s seemed to be the ideal choice.
Unleashing the Power
Crazy fast would be an understatement to describe the speed of the Traxxas RC car. It had the capability to leave competitors in the dust. The sheer thrill of drag racing with race buggies on the straight was an unforgettable experience. Even though the immense power wasn’t necessarily needed for everyday use, it added a whole new level of excitement.
A Surprising Resilience
Despite pushing the Traxxas RC car to its limits, it withstood the beatings like a champion. The car endured countless hard landings and nose dives without a single breakage. This resilience not only impressed the driver but also reinforced the reliability of this RC car model. It proved that even in challenging situations, the Traxxas RC car could handle the pressure and keep going.
Navigating the Jumps
Jumping obstacles is an integral part of RC racing, and the Traxxas car was no exception. Timing and control were crucial when taking off from jumps. To bring the front end down, the instinct was to release the throttle. However, with this particular car, the lack of front ground clearance posed a hurdle. Nose diving too much would cause the car to catch dirt and flip over, adding an extra layer of challenge to mastering jumps.
In conclusion, the Traxxas RC car may have had its setbacks, but it undoubtedly made a strong comeback. With its exceptiona capabilities and a few adjustments, this RC car proved to be a force to be reckoned with. Whether it’s navigating jumps, handling speed, or withstanding crashes, the Traxxas RC car demonstrated its resilience and performance on various terrains.
The Thrill of the Traxxas RC Car
In the world of remote control cars, the Traxxas brand has always been synonymous with excitement and adrenaline. And now, their latest creation is back and better than ever! The new Traxxas RC car is set to take the remote control racing scene by storm with its incredible speed and unparalleled performance.
Making Jumps with Ease
If there’s one thing that sets the Traxxas RC car apart from its competitors, it’s how effortlessly it navigates jumps. With careful throttle control, you can keep the car level mid-air, ensuring a smooth landing. This is particularly crucial because of the low front bumper design. Once the car goes nose-first, a slight miscalculation could quickly lead to a flip-over.
Testimonials of Track Performance
Proving its mettle on the track, some seasoned drivers have already tried their hand at racing the Traxxas RC car. One enthusiast, who happens to own a rally version, tracked it and had a blast. He mentioned that lifting the body slightly improved the car’s performance. However, not all drivers have this luxury, as the standard setup does not allow for such adjustments.
A Super Fun Experience
Despite its slight learning curve, the Traxxas RC car offers a super fun experience for enthusiasts of all skill levels. Whether you’re drifting around corners or unleashing its full potential on the track, it truly feels like driving a rally car. However, this car may not be an ideal choice for beginners, as its level of difficulty requires a certain level of expertise.
Not Your Average Spec Class
Usually, when competing in a spec class, the emphasis is on driving a car that handles exceptionally well on the track. Unfortunately, the Traxxas RC car may not be the best fit for this type of competition. While it is undoubtedly an impressive machine, its high performance might deter some drivers from feeling confident or comfortable enough to compete. As such, the Traxxas RC car is better suited for intermediate to expert level drivers who are up for the challenge.
With its incredible speed, stunning design, and unmatched performance, the Traxxas RC car is truly a force to be reckoned with. Whether you’re a seasoned racer or a dedicated enthusiast, this car promises an exhilarating and heart-pounding experience on and off the track. So, buckle up and get ready for a wild ride!
This Traxxas RC Car is Back and Better Than Ever!
A Versatile Basher
Unfortunately, in regards to it being a Basher, I think it’s an awesome Basher. I mean it’s super fast, crazy fast, especially on 3s, it’s versatile. You can take it off-road, and it looks really cool even after we wrecked it really bad. The body isn’t that beat up, which is a relief. Short course class or any short course, in general, tends to result in quick body damage, which can be quite expensive to replace. However, this Traxxas RC car withstood our beatings surprisingly well. It only has a little bit of rip here, but overall, it’s pretty solid.
Perfect for Speed and Off-Road Excursions
So, I think it’s a great Basher, especially if you don’t plan on doing mega-high jumps and just want to go fast and go off-road. This Traxxas RC car is designed to excel in speed and is equally at home on rugged terrains. Whether you want to race through the streets or conquer the snow, this car promises to deliver a lot of fun and excitement.
Sturdy Body
One thing that kind of sucks about short course classes or any short course in general is that the bodies get beat up really quickly. With this Traxxas RC car, however, the body seems to withstand the bashing remarkably well. Despite the intense wrecks we put it through, it doesn’t look that beat up or bad at all. Sure, there are some minor damages, but nothing that compromises its overall appearance or performance. This is definitely a testament to the durability and quality of this RC car.
The Return of a Classic
Traxxas has always been known for producing top-quality RC cars, and this model is no exception. With its impressive speed, durability, and versatility, it’s clear why this Traxxas RC car is back and better than ever. Whether you’re a seasoned RC enthusiast or just starting out, this car promises endless hours of thrilling adventures and unforgettable moments. So what are you waiting for? Let this Traxxas RC car take you on an exciting ride like never before!
