Introduction
When I first laid eyes on the Traxxas RC car, I didn’t think much of it. I assumed it was just another run-of-the-mill model that would soon be discontinued and forgotten. Little did I know, this little car would prove me wrong.
Unboxing the Traxxas Rally
I got something for you, guys who think I’m a Traxxas fanboy. No, they didn’t give it to me. No. They don’t pay me to wear it. I went and bought it because I wanted one so bad. Obviously, I will always be loyal to Techno. They are my race. Cars you’ll see me wearing that at the track boom wait, there’s more I’m just joking, it’s too cold out here, and I still got to Music represent.
Is it Discontinued?
What is up, guys? My name is Mark Samel. Welcome back to the channel, welcome back to the RC Vlog, guys. Today we are unboxing a car that I bet you a lot of y’all thought was discontinued. This guy right here, that was dumb. A brown box doesn’t tell you anything boom, guys, the Traxxas rally.
I don’t know – and I noticed that they’re not actually at the Traxxas store anymore, and I was like hm. Maybe it is, and I also noticed they weren’t on the website. However, they re-released it with the new BL 2s brushless system. Here it is, let me show you guys the Box panels.
What’s Inside?
So not only does it come with the B2s brushless power system, it also comes with the extreme heavy-duty kit. The kit includes heavy-duty drive shafts, wheel hexes, caster block, steering block, suspension arms, and oversized sealed bearings. I love that kit.
By including these upgrades, Traxxas has breathed new life into the rally car. It’s no wonder people thought it was discontinued. The new features and improvements make it an enticing option for RC car enthusiasts.
Traxxas Rally: A Versatile RC Car
The Traxxas rally is known for its versatility. It’s equally at home tearing up the racetrack or conquering off-road terrain. With its sleek design and powerful brushless motor, it’s a force to be reckoned with.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced RC car racer, the Traxxas rally offers an exciting and fun driving experience. The Traxxas brand is known for its durability, and the rally is no exception. You can push it to its limits without worrying about it breaking down.
The Surprising Revival
When I first laid my eyes on the Traxxas RC car, I couldn’t believe my luck. I had thought this model was discontinued, but here it was, in all its glory. The excitement was palpable, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.
An Unbreakable Machine
One of the most impressive aspects of this RC car is its durability. I have put it through rigorous tests, and to my surprise, it has remained intact. I have yet to encounter a single breakage. It seems to be built to withstand any challenge thrown its way.
The Game-Changing BL 2s System
For those unfamiliar with the BL 2s system, it is Traxxas’ new brush system capable of handling up to 2s. It may not be as fast as the VXL, but I find it to be a reliable and powerful companion. The VXL system still holds a special place in my heart, but I appreciate Traxxas’ efforts to incorporate the BL 2s system into more of their models.
A Unique Rally Experience
The rally car design of this RC car caught my attention. It claims to be a rally car, but it feels more like a narrowed wheel-based SL, 4×4. Interesting fact – Traxxas had a rally car back in the day that resembled a SL 4×4 with SL 4×4 arms. However, this model features the lcg chassis with Stampede arms. I’m not entirely sure about the specifics, but opening it up might shed some light on the matter. Perhaps the rally arms are the ones that are shorter.
New Looks, New Paint Scheme
Upon unboxing the RC car, I noticed the striking new paint scheme. Gone are the days of the old rally paint scheme with skulls adorning the body. Although I must admit, I miss that edgy look. The new design comes in blue and red, and I ended up with the red one. It’s still a good-looking car, no doubt.
In conclusion, this unexpected discovery of the supposedly discontinued Traxxas RC car has been a delightful surprise. Its unbreakable nature, the introduction of the BL 2s system, the unique rally design, and the new paint scheme all contribute to its allure. It’s safe to say that I am thoroughly impressed with this RC car and look forward to exploring its capabilities further.
The Surprising Return of the Traxxas RC Car
For the longest time, I was under the impression that the Traxxas RC car had been discontinued. It seemed like the end of an era, as I had always associated myself with the traditional models that were readily available in green or orange. However, my preconceived notions were shattered when I recently came across a new Traxxas RC car that completely caught me off guard.
An Unexpected Unboxing Experience
Curiosity got the best of me, and I couldn’t resist the urge to delve into what appeared to be a unique Traxxas RC car. I eagerly tore open the packaging and was immediately struck by the presence of a clipless body mounting system. Gone were the days of struggling with body clips! The ease of getting the body on and off was a refreshing change.
As I inspected the car further, I noticed that the nerf bars or side rails were different. Confusion swept over me, as I struggled to comprehend the changes. I questioned whether I had been doing something wrong all along. This was uncharted territory for me.
A Twist in Body Removal
One perplexing aspect of this Traxxas RC car was that the body came off on the side. It was a stark departure from what I was accustomed to. Initially, I couldn’t fathom why the side rails were different, but then it hit me – the body removal required this alteration. The realization brought both relief and awe.
My favorite part of the unboxing experience was yet to come. I gazed in amazement at the car, its design leaving me in awe. The craftsmanship was impeccable, and the attention to detail was evident. It was undeniably a sight to behold.
Unconventional Additions
Upon closer inspection, I discovered that this particular Traxxas RC car came with a non-TQI radio. It was a regular TQ radio, lacking a Bluetooth module. This seemingly unexpected addition piqued my curiosity even further. I pondered the reasons behind this choice, wondering if it would affect the overall performance of the car.
Additionally, the package included pre-load spacers for the shocks, a toolkit that left my hands in discomfort upon use, and the accompanying manual and quick start guide. Each item served its purpose, be it convenience or practicality.
A Fresh Perspective from Below
But the biggest surprise came when I turned the car upside down and examined its underside. This was where the most significant change had occurred. I observed the latch mechanism for the body, a simple yet ingenious solution. Gone were the complications of intricate body attachments. Now, all it took was a simple push to secure the body.
As I concluded my exploration of this resurrected Traxxas RC car, I marveled at the unexpected turns it had taken me on. It shattered my preconceived notions, piqued my curiosity, and left me in anticipation of the adventures that awaited me with this new model.
Traxxas RC Car: A Surprising Discovery
As an avid fan of remote control cars, I am always on the lookout for the latest and greatest models. So, you can imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon what I thought was a discontinued Traxxas RC car. It had a unique body mount in the middle, which immediately caught my attention. I couldn’t help but admire the heavy-duty components, especially the drive shaft and tires. However, I couldn’t help but wonder about the gray plastic they used. What are your thoughts on this? Please let me know in the comments below.
An Up-Close Look at the LCG Chassis
Excited to explore further, I decided to remove the body of the RC car. And to my delight, I could easily do it single-handedly. And there it was, the car, standing before me in all its glory. The clean lcg chassis, without any nerf bars, immediately caught my eye. However, I did notice that it had a plastic drive shaft instead of the more premium aluminum one in the middle. But overall, it still looked impressive, especially with the heavy-duty kit in place. Oh, and let’s not forget the BL 2s system! It’s time to remove all the unnecessary accessories and take this beauty for a spin.
A Thrilling Ride with the Traxxas RC Car
Equipped with a powerful 3300 KV, 2S lipo battery, I couldn’t wait to test drive this beast. Although I had plans to find a better spot for recording, my excitement got the better of me. I just had to take it for a drive right then and there. No assistance from the TSM (Traxxas Stability Management) system, I thought I was in for a wild ride. But alas, the car didn’t take off as expected. It needed some trimming to adjust its performance. Nonetheless, it still managed to reach a decent speed.
It became evident that the Traxxas RC car didn’t necessarily require the TSM system. My overzealous driving resulted in some crazy maneuvers, and I even managed to pull off a few donuts. To power this exhilarating experience, I had opted for a Traxxas 7600 battery, specifically designed for the 2s system.
In conclusion, stumbling upon this supposedly discontinued Traxxas RC car turned out to be an exciting adventure. From its unique body mount design to the impressive heavy-duty components, it exceeded my expectations. Although the plastic drive shaft was a slight letdown, the overall performance and thrill of driving this car more than made up for it. So, if you come across an RC car that you think has been discontinued, don’t be too quick to dismiss it. You might just be in for a fantastic surprise.
An Unexpected Thrill
As I took hold of the remote control and prepared to drive the Traxxas RC car, I realized that its unique design offered a whole new experience. Unlike other cars, there was no need to hit the brakes and slow down, fearing a flip-over. This little beast could take on sharp turns and sudden movements with ease. With a quick yank to the left, I watched in awe as it effortlessly turned, defying my expectations.
A Suitable Playground
Eager to explore the capabilities of the Traxxas RC car, I searched for the perfect spot to put it to the test. I wanted an area that provided enough dirt for a thrilling ride, while avoiding treacherous terrain that could potentially damage the car. Finally, I found my ideal location and headed there with excitement.
An Unfortunate Accident
It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the Traxxas RC car’s agility and responsiveness. However, in the midst of all the adrenaline-fueled fun, disaster struck. As we were sliding around a nearby baseball field, the car accidentally collided with a base, breaking off a tab and bending the latch it hooked onto. It was a freak accident that left me momentarily disheartened.
Mixed Feelings
Despite the unforeseen mishap, I couldn’t help but appreciate the cool features of the Traxxas RC car. The clipless body design was a standout, adding a level of sleekness and convenience. However, I couldn’t help but yearn for adjustable turnbuckles, a feature lacking in this entry-level model. Nevertheless, I understood the reasoning behind its absence, as it was designed with the b2s system in mind.
Heavy Duty Kit: Necessary or Not?
When I first got my hands on the Traxxas RC car, I couldn’t help but contemplate whether or not the heavy-duty kit was necessary. Sure, it may add some extra durability and resilience, but do I really need it? After all, I don’t plan on adjusting my camera while racing this powerful machine. Regardless, the car boasts an impressive amount of power and speed, capable of throwing up quite the show. The drifts it produces are undeniably awesome, making me question if even having TSM (Traxxas Stability Management) would dampen the thrill.
The Servo Issue: 2056 or 2075?
One aspect of the Traxxas RC car that left me a bit puzzled was the choice of servo. They equipped it with a 2056 servo for steering, which I found to be a little slow compared to the 2075 servo option. Although I don’t have exact specifications in terms of speed, I do know that the 2075 servo performs better overall. In my opinion, for a four-wheel-drive car like this, it would make more sense to include the 2075 servo right from the start. It would certainly enhance the overall performance and driving experience.
Upgrading for a Daily Driver
If I were to consider this Traxxas RC car as a daily driver, I undoubtedly would make a few upgrades. Firstly, I would opt for the VXL 3S, a versatile and reliable brushless power system that would provide an extra oomph to the car’s performance. Additionally, I would swap out the stock servo for the Traxxas 400 servo, which boasts better specs and responsiveness. These upgrades would further amplify the enjoyment and versatility of using this RC car in everyday scenarios.
Relieved to Find it Continues
Despite my initial concerns about the heavy-duty kit, choice of servo, and potential need for upgrades, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the Traxxas RC car was not discontinued. It offers an abundance of power, speed, and excitement without compromising on versatility. Whether you’re a professional racer or someone seeking thrills in the dirt, this RC car is certainly worth considering. Don’t let its minor imperfections deter you; with a few additions and adjustments, you can easily transform it into the ultimate driving machine.
