From collisions to jumps, this truck took everything in its stride and continued to perform admirably.

Cautionary Note

While the Arrma Big Rock 6S is designed to withstand various challenges, it is important to exercise caution. The truck, although water-resistant, is not completely waterproof. The Performance of the Arrma Big Rock 6s

Throughout the past month, I have had the chance to thoroughly test and push the limits of the Arrma Big Rock 6s. Allow me to share my thoughts and experiences with this impressive machine.

A Beast on the Terrain

From the moment I laid eyes on the Arrma Big Rock 6s, I had a feeling it was going to be something special. And boy, was I right! This truck is an absolute beast when it comes to conquering any terrain. I put it through its paces, taking it on various terrains, and it handled everything I threw at it with ease. No matter how rough or challenging the terrain, the Arrma Big Rock 6s powered through effortlessly.

A Trip to the Skate Park

One particular outing that stood out was my trip to the skate park with the Arrma Big Rock 6s. Now, I must clarify that my intention was not to intentionally break the truck, but rather to test its jumping capabilities. I wanted to see how it would handle the jumps and landings. To my delight, the truck performed admirably. Not only did it handle the jumps smoothly, but it also shrugged off any impact or landing stress. No bent chassis or any other damage to speak of. Impressive, to say the least.

The Durability Factor

Speaking of durability, I must commend the Arrma Big Rock 6s for its ability to withstand the rigors of my demanding tests. This truck truly held up strong, even when pushed to its limits. The only visible signs of wear and tear were some scrapes and scratches on the body. Considering the punishment it endured, this is a minor issue that can be easily remedied. Overall, the Arrma Big Rock 6s proves to be a powerhouse in terms of durability.

Speed and Performance

Moving on to speed, the Arrma Big Rock 6s does not disappoint. Straight out of the box, with the optional pinion gear, this truck easily reaches speeds of up to 65 mph. However, it is important to note that I do not recommend using this pinion gear for off-road purposes. The truck’s electronics can overheat, resulting in a significantly reduced run time of about four to five minutes. It is best to stick with the stock setup for off-road adventures.

A Winner All Around

In conclusion, the Arrma Big Rock 6s has proven itself to be an outstanding RC truck. Its impressive performance, durability, and speed make it a formidable force on any terrain. Whether you are a seasoned RC enthusiast or a beginner looking for a reliable and thrilling off-road companion, the Arrma Big Rock 6s is a winner all around. So, if you are considering getting your hands on one, I highly recommend it.

Electronics and Speed

The Arrma Big Rock 6s is definitely packed with a lot of electronics. There is so much potential with this beast, especially when it comes to speed runs. I have no doubt that many of you will be eager to push this monster to its limits. With a few modifications, like adding some SRC tires, you could easily see this bad boy reaching speeds of over 100 miles per hour. It’s a thrilling prospect that I may just have to try out myself in the near future.

Exploring Gear Options

One modification I have been considering is putting a 22 p gear in the Arrma Big Rock 6s. By doing this, I believe we could potentially achieve speeds of around 75 mph. Of course, with the stock set-up straight out of the box, I’m confident it could reach around 68 mph, maybe even more. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I didn’t have a chance to fully test it. But with the optional pinion gear, we did manage to hit a respectable 65 mph. Since then, I have reverted back to the stock pinion gear (132) and have been running it like that.

Durability and Traction

I must say, the Arrma Big Rock 6s has proven to be incredibly durable. The tires have stayed firmly in place and have provided sufficient traction. While some may prefer a bit more grip, these all-purpose tires have held up well and still give the truck that distinctive Big Rock look. So far, there haven’t been any issues with the tires or any other components of the vehicle. Even the body, despite not being completely clipless, has held up surprisingly well. It only requires two body pins in the back to keep it secure.

Body Issues

I had no issues with the body of the Arrma Big Rock 6s, except for one incident. While at the skate park, the vehicle turned off and I took the body off, but I didn’t put it back on completely. As a result, the body flopped up somewhat in the front. This was solely because of my mistake in not securing the body properly. Overall, I haven’t faced any other problems with the body of the vehicle.

Battery Connectors

I did encounter a minor inconvenience with the battery connectors. There were a few occasions where the connectors were placed towards the side of the body. However, I quickly adjusted them and the body slid right back into place without any difficulty. Even with mud and other debris on the connectors, they still worked smoothly. The only trouble I faced was when trying to remove the body pins and take the body off.

Weight Impact

Interestingly, the body itself added about a pound and a half of weight to the vehicle. Despite this additional weight, the Arrma Big Rock 6s still managed to handle well. I tested its performance at a construction site, running the truck three times. The first run had a battery issue, but I continued with another run where I went all out. Although I didn’t film it, I wanted to experience the full potential of the truck.

The Reliable Servo

When I first got my hands on the Arrma Big Rock 6s, I couldn’t help but worry about the performance of the servo. With the intense runs and jumps I had planned, I was concerned that the servo would strip. However, much to my surprise, the servo held up incredibly well. It proved to be reliable and sturdy, refusing to give in even under the most demanding conditions.

A Flawless Speed Controller

Another component that exceeded my expectations was the speed controller. Throughout my runs, the speed controller worked flawlessly, never faltering or causing any issues. It provided smooth and consistent power delivery, allowing me to push the limits of the vehicle without any hiccups. This reinforced my confidence in the overall reliability of the Arrma Big Rock 6s.

Submerged in Water

One particular test I put the Arrma Big Rock 6s through was submerging it in water. And boy, did it endure a significant amount of immersion! The tires were practically sticking out of the water, indicating just how deeply it was submerged. Despite my reservations about running the vehicle underwater, I couldn’t resist putting it through its paces. Surprisingly, the vehicle didn’t experience any immediate issues or malfunctions.

The Importance of Cleaning

While the Arrma Big Rock 6s withstood the water test without immediate consequences, I must emphasize the importance of cleaning the motor and bearings afterward. Although I neglected to perform this crucial maintenance step, the vehicle still held up remarkably well. It continued to function flawlessly, proving its resilience and durability.

Concerns about the Body

Like any RC enthusiast, I was initially concerned about the condition of the body. I didn’t want to risk damaging it during my runs and jumps. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the body construction. Despite my apprehensions, the body withstood the rigorous runs without any significant damage. Of course, there were a few scrapes and scratches on the front from my adventures, but overall, it remained intact and performed admirably.

In conclusion, the Arrma Big Rock 6s surpassed my expectations in terms of its servo performance, speed controller reliability, and overall durability. Even after subjecting it to extreme conditions, the vehicle continued to operate flawlessly. This RC beast truly lives up to its reputation as a reliable and sturdy machine. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced RC enthusiast, the Arrma Big Rock 6s is a worthy investment that will undoubtedly provide hours of thrilling off-road adventure.

Thoughts on Lights

When it comes to the Arrma Big Rock 6s, one thing that stood out to me was the possibility of installing lights on this beast. And guess what? You can actually do it! I decided to take it apart and found out that Arrma will soon release a light kit for this monster truck. According to my sources, the kit will be announced in January. It’s going to be a complete set, including headlights, tail lights, and even a third light. This is a great move by Arrma, as many people are currently relying on aftermarket solutions to add lights to their vehicles.

Durable Body

Another impressive aspect of the Arrma Big Rock 6s is its body. Unlike other models that simply have a black painted exterior, this one is made of plastic. This adds an extra layer of durability, ensuring that the body can withstand even the roughest terrains. I was genuinely impressed with this decision by Arrma, as it shows their commitment to providing high-quality products.

Potential for Trailers and Towing

Looking at the Big Rock 6s, I can’t help but wonder if Arrma has plans to release a trailer or tow hitch. I can definitely see a lot of people wanting to tow around their favorite toys, whether it’s a small RC car or something else entirely. Knowing Arrma, they might just surprise us with this feature in the future. It would be a perfect addition for those who love to customize and personalize their vehicles.

An Inside Look

Before I conclude my thoughts, here’s a quick glimpse inside the Arrma Big Rock 6s. Although this is not the main focus of my review, it’s worth mentioning. The interior is well-designed, showcasing Arrma’s attention to detail. From the sturdy controls to the comfortable seating, every aspect of the interior demonstrates the thought that went into creating this impressive RC truck.

And there you have it, my after-run thoughts on the Arrma Big Rock 6s. It’s clear that Arrma has put a lot of thought into this beast, from the potential for lights to the durable body and the possibility of towing. Whether you’re an RC hobbyist or simply looking for a fun and powerful toy, the Big Rock 6s is definitely worth considering.

Arrma Big Rock 6s After Run Thoughts

Muddy Adventure

You guys know that this thing was muddy, I mean it was, it was pretty bad. I took it to the car wash and I just sprayed it off, and then I just oiled everything down for it. A lot of mud did not get on the inside, which I was actually um surprised about. So these uh sidewalls on here do actually keep a lot of stuff out of there too, as well, so that was actually pretty good, chassis and stuff like that is not bent.

Protective Measures

I got a lot of tape on there cuz I dont like really scratching up a lot of chassis ESP dont like the way it looks so no problems with that Servo held fine everything held fine on this vehicle.

Future Modifications

I dont know what else to say guys its its been a good vehicle and Im going to actually, like, I said, probably lower down, put a 22 Pinar in and run it um, probably next Saturday, or something like that for super speed Saturday. So if you guys want to see that um put that in the comments below you guys see how easy that went on, I did that with one hand, just slit it right on put the body pins on and youre good to go.

Share your Thoughts

So, anyway, put your comments down below about this. If you guys have one coming, what you plan on doing to it, um when you get in, if you want to see me, do some more stuff with this um.

Comparing the Arrma Big Rock 6s to Other Models

Upon watching a few videos online, I stumbled upon some individuals who had gotten their hands on the Arrma Big Rock 6s and were doing some pretty extreme stunts with it. They were jumping it to heights that seemed unimaginable, some even reaching 30 to 40 feet in the air! It’s quite remarkable that the truck not only survived these astonishing jumps but also seemed to handle them with ease. Though I personally wouldn’t attempt such daring tricks, it’s fascinating to see what this machine is capable of.

Different Performance Compared to other Models

Recently, I compared the performance of the Arrma Big Rock 6s to another model called the Fire Team. I made a video about it, which you can check out if you’re interested. However, I have yet to compare it to the Move, but rest assured, I will do so at some point. I plan on getting all three seven-scale cars out and running them side by side to see how they differ in performance.

The Impact of Mounting Positions

One notable difference between the Arrma Big Rock 6s and the Fire Team is the positioning of the mount. On the Fire Team, the mount is situated a bit further forward compared to the Arrma Big Rock 6s, which has its mount placed further backward. Some might argue that this doesn’t make a significant difference, but from my experience, it does impact performance. Additionally, the Arrma Big Rock 6s is slightly faster than the Fire Team. It comes with a 13-tooth gear out of the box, whereas the Fire Team has a 12-tooth gear. Furthermore, the Arrma Big Rock 6s boasts a 16-speed speaker, while the Fire Team has a 15-speed speaker.

Comparing Speeds

In my recent video, I compared the speeds of various vehicles, including the Arrma Big Rock 6s. It’s worth mentioning that the Big Rock 6s proved to be faster than the fire team vehicle. This impressive speed makes me want to try out all three vehicles, including the fire team, the Mojave, and of course, the Big Rock 6s itself. I plan to run them all in stock condition, straight out of the box. Unfortunately, I don’t have stock fire team tires, but the other vehicles will be completely stock for the comparison.

Cost and Affordability

I understand that most people consider these vehicles to be expensive. However, there are ways to ease the financial burden. One option is to consider payment plans offered by platforms like PayPal. I personally utilize these payment plans when purchasing vehicles that exceed the $560 price range. It’s an effective way to manage my budget without having to shell out a large sum of money upfront.

Benefits of Wearing Arrma Big Rock 6s

If you’re contemplating whether or not to invest in an Arrma Big Rock 6s, let me assure you that you won’t be disappointed. The speed and performance it offers are truly remarkable. Moreover, wearing this impressive vehicle will undoubtedly make heads turn and stand out amongst other RC car enthusiasts. Additionally, the joy and adrenaline rush you’ll experience while driving the Big Rock 6s is well worth the investment.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the Arrma Big Rock 6s is an impressive machine that can handle extreme jumps and stunts. It performs differently than other models like the Fire Team, primarily due to differences in mounting position and gear specifications. If you’re interested in seeing a detailed comparison between the Arrma Big Rock 6s and other models, be sure to check out my comparison video, where I provide a link in the description.

In conclusion, the Arrma Big Rock 6s is undeniably an exceptional RC car with impressive speed and performance. Investing in the Big Rock 6s is guaranteed to provide hours of exhilarating and enjoyable moments. So, go ahead and give it a try, you won’t regret it!
