But now, we have the new and improved version, and in my opinion, it’s even better looking.

Early Review and Assembly Experience

I do have a confession to make, though, I’m hoping that the actual ones out the factory look a little bit neater than mine. At the time of doing this, video you can’t buy the ready to runs, they’re not shipping out until the end of the month. So I’ve put this one together out of all the parts.

Lucky Enough to Get an Early Model

I was lucky enough to get sent one early for review and they sent me all the parts for the Dual conversion as well, including a spare motor and spare ESC. So I spent a few hours stripping a stock one down, getting all this set up in it, getting it running, making sure it works, okay and even on 2s.

The Savage Power of the Dual Motors

This thing is Savage. You can run up to 4S on ESCs. The motors aren’t 4S capable, but I’ve run them 4S, and I know other people run them with no issues. And being there’s two of them, there are two motors, which means there’s less strain on them. So you got double the Power, so I reckon 4S will be fine, don’t blame me if you blow them up. Cuz, like I said, they’re only rated to three um, but it should be less strain on the drivetrain.

Improvement in Performance

Listen to that one thing I am going to say when this came for review. This was the stock carbon one, so single motor, single ESC, and stuff. When I got it out of the box, it didn’t run or roll very well, yeah, it’s um.

However, it is important to note that running them on 4S is not recommended by the manufacturer.

The Tight Pinion and Mesh

Upon inspecting the Brushless DUAL MOTOR RC Car, one thing became immediately apparent – the pinion was extremely tight. In fact, it was so tight that it had locked the wheels up. This tightness of the mesh raised some concerns, leading me to reach out to R, the manufacturer, to express my concern. I wondered if other users had experienced a similar issue. If the mesh was too tight, it could pose a problem for the performance of the car.

Difficulties with Mesh Setup

Setting up the car proved to be quite challenging due to the tight mesh. Achieving a smooth and seamless mesh was a cumbersome task. Gyro and Motor Mount Setup

When it comes to the first-ever ‘Brushless’ Dual Motor RC Car, there are various features to explore. One of these features is the gyro, which unfortunately does not come with the motor mount setup. While attempting to use the gyro, its proper utilization has not been fully understood yet. Consequently, it has been switched off for now. The need to consult the instructions to gain better clarity on its usage is evident. In the meantime, the RC car is equipped with two 2s lipos on each side for confirmation purposes. This configuration ensures that the RC car is running on a 2s setup.

Gearing Out of the Box

However, efforts will be made to confirm this information. Currently, the RC car is equipped with the smallest spur, made of metal and measuring 52. The pinions, on the other hand, are believed to be 40. Initially, the car was geared with pinions measuring 45, which is the highest gearing available out of the box. However, this resulted in severe cogging issues. Although some cogging still occurs, it has been reduced by gearing down with a 45-tooth pinion and a 52-tooth spur.

A car park burn some rubber, then were going to take it out and do a proper Speed Run 2s 3s. And maybe if we got enough space 4S few technical issues with the GoPro didnt have any decent audio. But this thing what a little Ripper its got, that much power that it just cant get traction when youre Full Throttle, but it drives.

Straight Drive, Controlled Chaos

So nice Ive seen people struggling to keep these things straight, and I know they a little bit of a struggle when youre trying to do a speed run, but I think they drive actually okay and, as you can see here, I was able to fling it around One handed and do some little do some little pirouettes and get it straight again, so I dont find these a problem, Maybe maybe its the slight adjustments Ive made on this out of the box, lowering the suspension, adjusting the camera and stuff all little tweaks that make A difference this thing, though, love it.

Cheeky Little Speed

I got a cheeky Little Speed running as well on this car park short of space, but still over 40 mph on 2s. This thing is going to go crazy on 3 and 4S, so obviously Ive geared this for Speed. So I did check the motor temps um after that run, and they were a little bit warm. I wouldnt say they were too hot, though keep my hand on them. No problem at all. Everything still feels all right.

The Power of Two Motors

49 on 2s? That is not bad right. We got to switch to three now, that’s going to be 70 plus. I reckon if it hooks up, let’s see what happens. So still, no cogging on three, that’s a good sign. This is where things could get a bit square. This is going to be way faster. There we go, Full Throttle. Wow, that’s fast! Need to check with the gyro. I don’t think it’s got some gyro input, but I switched it off. I could just see it twitching a bit. I need to maybe completely disconnect it. Full Throttle, whoa, spun it out in the gravel, it’s fast, but you can keep it straight.

Breaking Speed Records

Yes, right, yes, 71 M hour 114 km. An hour problem I got here is lack of space as soon as I’m at Full Throttle. I’m having to come back off it again, no heat there at all. So proving that that Max gear in, you can go even more with it. What a solid little Ripper! This thing is so where we going now with it. Well, some of you may seem surprised that it only done 71 or 72 mph with them twin Motors. And I mean, this thing out of the box on the single motor on 4S with the stock gear, will do over 70 mph. But what you got to remember is adding another motor isn’t going to increase its speed. It’s just reducing the amount of strain on that single motor, which means you’re able to gear up more, add more volts, because they’re not working as hard. They’re not going to generate as much heat. So, a dual motor system won’t make it go faster if you don’t change anything else from a stock one.
