Although I can’t confirm if this is the latest motor for their platform, it is paired with a hobbywing ESC, the xr8 plus, believed to be the G2 version. The steering servo is a Savox 6290, known for its high speed, while they also have a 6280 model for enhanced torque. It seems that they have introduced a new black case servo, but the exact part number remains unknown.
In terms of battery configuration, they are running a 4S setup using two shorty 2s batteries from Trinity, specifically the 5600s with ample runtime. These batteries have proven to be reliable, as the 10-minute main races have posed no issues so far. It is a remnant of my spare parts collection, salvaged from the leftovers of 2021 and 2022. However, it is not the motor’s fault that it falls short; it is simply doing its best with what it has. Similarly, the battery is the only 4S kind of lcg pack available, highlighting the need to make do with what is at hand.

The Setup: Jerry rig and a New Battery
So we have a very Jerry rig setup here, because I might try to bounce between this and another battery that I have that I dont think is the way to go, but um were making do with what we got. I was using at this past race weekend that youre seeing this footage I was using this um, I believe, Kevin he was when he was working with the Trinity stuff. He made this big brick kind of conglomeration thing for a very specific purpose and he gave me one to try. It was sitting around. I tried it at first. I just dont think its the way to go because its so tall that it just kind of feels a little funky, so Im really looking forward to trying this lcg pack instead.
The Power and Torque: Protek 170 TBL
So I got the Protek 170 TBL. It has a ton of power and a ton of torque for these giant truy tires, so I figured it would be best suited for this application again when it comes to setup with this vehicle. I wanted to familiarize myself with the link positions and lengths, and I dont think that I had it right at all at that past weekend. In this footage, you can kind of see at moments where the vehicle would hitch very aggressively and over rotate before the corner was over, and I definitely dont like that. So I think a lot of that has to do with the link positions and lengths.
The Challenge: Finding the Right Setup

However, even with a powerful motor, the setup of the vehicle needs to be fine-tuned to achieve optimal control and handling.

One aspect that might have contributed to the vehicle’s unstable behavior in the past race weekend is the incorrect positioning and lengths of the links. Upon reviewing the footage, it is evident that the vehicle experienced aggressive hitches and over rotation before completing corners. By ensuring the proper alignment of these components, the vehicle’s overall stability and cornering performance can be significantly improved.
The Set Up
We are going to move them around a bit uh this upcoming weekend and see if we cant get more comfortable with the vehicle. My starting point for this one is pretty much a copy paste of Ryan Cavalary setup from the enets last year.
Shock Weights
Ill go ahead and Link that down below weve, pretty much copied everything when it comes to the shock weights and diff oils, I believe, were at somewhere between 7 and 10K up front were at 12500 in the middle and then were at 7K in the rear shock Oils were at 37, 12 up front and 32 12 in the rear.
Truck Springs
Um something I saw on one of Dakota’s recent truy setups. It was for the Nitro truck, but then also on Cav’s on the setup down below is they’re running running a techno orange rear truy spring. So I have that ordered Im going to put it on its not on here right now, but I am eager to try that out and see how it feels other than that.
Tweaking the Setup
I dont think that theres anything very different about this setup or anything notable, but were going to continue to tweak a few things to see if we cant get it to be a little bit more comfortable on the track recording begin.

We got some guys. Driv Batman takes a SL and stud approach, it’s a smart smart play, though he’s had his up in the machine the last couple days. So he one minute one minute 7 minutes to go here in the final race of the day. We got Ryan Applause, Music styal, just under a second lead over the uper Santiago in and out of all Orlando in at number three, Noah Manchester of ss in the Four K rocking the SS game.

Lots of Chang going on here, Harris and andester Santiago money, R, 79 M Hill, 140 and 6 point to go. Let’s see where Harrison Harris going to be, on the left hand, side coming up and over the Step Up step down. He goes looking for down the step on the straightway. A 374 fast left for Harris, he’s now three points nearly 1 seconds out on Andy K, but it’s going to be Manchester sing in for the joh three ik. Four Santiago: Five K J Money in the seven Andy KK going to be moving on down as something up with Andy. Let’s see if we can’t get Andy back out.
