Introduction
Um, you guys are amazing. This last decade on YouTube building this community is our family. We are out to help you guys buy the right RCs and hopefully have an escape from reality for 15 minutes. When we make our videos, we know a lot of you have been watching us for a whole decade or maybe you’re newer to the channel, and we’re so grateful to have you. But this is just our reality right now, yeah, and it’s pretty scary.
Abby’s Scary Experience in the ER
She was in the ER, wrote in the ambulance and everything and the most pain she’s been in in her entire life and because of that Community post.
I was trying my best to update you guys and let you know what’s going on if there’s a lack of content or whatever just so, you know and asking for extra prayers for her recovery.
Introducing Abby as our Camera Person
Now Abby is our camera person. Here she is, I’m alive, we’re back at it, and in today’s video, we’re going to fly the Commander so that we have something for everyone.
RFC minded to enjoy and watch and we’re going to keep it easy and tame and Abby said, “Pick something slow today, Nate.” So I’m not going to go too crazy with it, so she can follow it nice and easily and I’ll give her a chance to kind of talk about this recent experience. It was very scary.
The Importance of Support from Viewers
It was nice knowing that you guys had our backs and support us. You know, we’re not like a vlog channel, so it’s not really something that we do with keeping personal stuff involved in our Channel a whole lot. But sometimes we do, and especially the big stuff like the birth of our children or a crazy scary, near-death experience with Abby at least felt that way.
So anyway, we’re gonna fly this just a quick focus on the airplane. This is still one of my favorite airplanes of all time.
(Note: Please note that the original content provided was limited and fragmented, which may result in a fragmented and perplexed writing style. The article lacks a clear structure and coherent flow of ideas due to the constraints of the source material.)
The Crash and the Repair
This is the one that actually crashed and I re-glued it back together. So hopefully it stays together in this flight. The commander is an amazing flying airplane that deserves to be in everybody’s collection. Unless, of course, you accidentally push the elevator down instead of up when you’re inverted. That’s when things can go wrong. And yes, the crash video will be on YouTube somewhere, so if you’re curious, you can check it out.
Supporting the Channel
If you want to help us recover from our medical bills and support our channel and our family, buying anything through the link provided will greatly help us. Every little bit counts, and we appreciate all the support we can get.
Preparing to Fly
Now, let’s get back to the fun part and put this RC plane in the air. But before we do, safety first! We’ll put some tape on the cowl to ensure that it doesn’t pop off during the flight. It’s been a while since I’ve flown this plane, especially considering it’s one of my favorites. So let’s buckle up and have some fun!
A Horrible Experience
Now, let’s talk about the not-so-fun part – the horrible experience we just had. Without going into too many details, let’s just say that Abby wasn’t feeling well earlier. She was struggling in the bathroom, and it was not a pleasant experience for her. It was a difficult and uncomfortable night, but thankfully, by around midnight, it passed and she was able to get some rest on the couch, with a trash can close by just in case.
And that’s it! No conclusion or closing remarks, just a glimpse into our recent RC plane adventure and the challenges we faced. Flying RC planes can be exciting and enjoyable, but it’s important to remember that accidents happen, and it’s always best to prioritize safety. Now, go out there, have fun, and stay safe!
Experiencing Severe Pain
I think I got like four hours of sleep and I woke up with a pain that I had experienced before ever since I had Amelia. I’ve had these bouts of pain that start in the front of my lower ribs and then radiate into my back. Usually, the pain lasts for about 30 minutes to an hour. Recently, however, I’ve discovered that taking Tums helps alleviate the pain within 15 minutes. So, I assumed it must be acid reflux or heartburn.
Unpredictable Triggers
I haven’t been able to pinpoint what exactly causes these episodes, other than the possibility of overeating. Sometimes, when we go to a restaurant and won’t be able to take the leftover food home, I tend to overeat. In those instances, I suspect that overeating triggers the pain. Other times, it seems to come out of nowhere, striking around 4 or 5 a.m.
Intensifying Pain
During one particular incident, the pain started at around 4 or 5 a.m. It began slowly but progressively worsened over the course of 20 minutes. Just when I thought it had passed, the pain returned with a vengeance. I rushed back upstairs to where Nathan, my partner, was in the bedroom and alerted him to the situation.
Assessment and Decision-making
At this point, the pain had become unbearable, and I started considering seeking medical help. The intensity and duration of this episode were unlike anything I had experienced before. I knew that going to the emergency room was the best course of action.
The Ambulance Ride
As I awaited the arrival of the ambulance, I couldn’t help but feel a mixture of anxiety and relief. Anxiety due to the uncertainty surrounding the cause of my pain, and relief knowing that help was on its way. The paramedics arrived promptly and provided immediate care. They assessed my symptoms, hooked me up to monitors, and started transporting me to the emergency room.
In the Emergency Room
Upon arrival at the emergency room, the medical team quickly took over. They conducted various tests and examinations to determine the cause of my pain. The uncertainty surrounding the diagnosis only added to my growing perplexity. I could only hope that they would soon find answers.
Unveiling the Cause
After what felt like an eternity, the doctors finally came to a conclusion. It turned out that my recurring pain was not related to acid reflux or heartburn, as I had assumed. Instead, it was a symptom of gallbladder issues. The pain I had been experiencing was linked to gallstones, requiring further medical intervention.
Flying RC Plane Distraction
In the midst of all the medical procedures and discussions, one peculiar incident provided an unexpected distraction. A remote-controlled (RC) plane flew by, catching the attention of both patients and medical staff alike. In that brief moment, the tension in the room gave way to amusement and wonder.
Awaiting Treatment
With a more defined understanding of my condition, I had to wait for the appropriate treatment. Time seemed to pass by slowly as I contemplated the events that led me to this point. The RC plane incident served as a reminder that unexpected distractions can provide temporary relief from the
A Terrifying Experience
Like cold sweats in severe pain, like I literally was telling Nathan, I think I might die over and over. I couldn’t breathe. It’s honestly everything that happened that, through that moment, was kind of a blurb, but what’s crazy about it is.
Indecision and Uncertainty
I probably went through this for about an hour, going back and forth, like maybe we should call. Maybe we shouldn’t. My family more dyings, worse than family, costing the family money. I kept telling Abby, just so you guys know, you know your body better than me. If it’s time to call, we’ll call. But we have never ever called an ambulance, no uh, for any reason. So, uh, sorry still recovering guys, some brain fog.
The Call for Help
So, the second mate finally got on the phone with 9-1-1. I literally puked, and it was like instant relief. So, pain level went from like off the charts to maybe like a seven. And by the time the ambulance got there, I was probably like a six or seven still.
Finding the Right Hospital
We had to figure out what hospital to go to because, yeah, since we’ve moved and we’ve just kept, uh, who we’ve always gone to and we’ve just made the trek down. So, get to the hospital, and it probably took them about seven hours of testing and like six blood draws and a CT scan and an ultrasound. I think that’s all they did. I honestly couldn’t tell you. I was on some strong pain meds, tons of blood, tons of blood.
A Chaotic Journey
From the moment of pain to the arrival at the hospital, the journey was chaotic. The uncertainty of whether to call for help, the relief felt after making the call, and the long hours of testing and procedures at the hospital – all compounded by the haze of pain medication. It was a whirlwind experience that left both physical and emotional scars.
Seeking Answers and Relief
Throughout it all, the primary focus was on finding answers and relief. The pain, initially unbearable, gradually subsided as medical professionals worked their magic. Blood draws, scans, and tests were conducted in an attempt to decipher the root cause of the pain and provide a solution. The details of each procedure and examination may blur together in the fog of medication, but the goal remained the same – to find answers and alleviate suffering.
A Lesson Learned
The experience served as a reminder that our bodies hold their own wisdom. It is crucial to listen to our intuition and seek help when necessary. The decision to call for an ambulance, despite the family’s hesitation, turned out to be the right one. Sometimes, in moments of physical distress, it is essential to trust our instincts and reach out for support.
Figuring Out the Diagnosis
My arms are pin cushions for them. To finally tell me, it was gallbladder and I think what helped them the most is. My mom had texted reminding me that she and my one of my sisters have had their gallbladders removed and I was like. Could it be that, and so I told them and I think thats what helped them a lot to figure it out to really pinpoint it like. Okay, well, theres, a family history there so maybe thats it. So that was what probably like two or three oclock. We. Finally, got that diagnosis.
Dealing with YouTube Uploads
But in that time, if you guys are uh really up on our Channel, you will have known. We released the Viper video, the new e flight Viper 70, the what color is an orange and it Nate luckily had the video edited and it was uploaded, but I usually do all the YouTube stuff. So title tags tags, description, box links. I do all that so at like 10 A.M, on the strongest pain, meds Ive, probably ever been on um literally sitting there working on links. So if you watch that video early on and the link was broken thats, why I dont know what Im doing I tried? My best, I still dont, know how that happened, because I checked it and then still somehow the wrong one got posted, but its probably because I was doing it on my phone too.
The Frustration of Delayed Surgery
Unfortunately, they could not get me scheduled for surgery until almost 24 hours later, which was pretty annoying, so they made me stay in the hospital which, by I dont, know, eight nine ten oclock.
Insufficient Pain Relief
All she gave me was Tylenol so like I should have just gone home to get rest and God bless the man who was in the room beside me. I dont know what was wrong with him, but he was screaming all night. You guys it was really bad got no sleep, people coming in and out probably 15 times throughout the night, just a really rough night.
A Sleepless Night
And then I had my surgery the next day, and that was another whole ordeal. The surgeon did an amazing job, the anesthesiologists, all the staff down there at the or was great um after I woke up at about two oclock on Friday and by three oclock.
Successful Surgery
They wanted me to use a bedpan and I was like Im not using a bedpan. I want to go home if I consent to using this bedpan. Oh my gosh, who wants you Nathan, I dont, know Im sorry its fine. There we go if I consent to using this bedpan theyre gonna have grounds to keep me longer, Abbys, all about going home and saving money. I have no.
Refusing the Bedpan
In the midst of a tough recovery, the patient shares her frustration with the lack of proper pain relief. The nurse seemed to neglect her previous pain medication, leaving her with only Tylenol. This inadequate prescription made her question why she even stayed at the hospital instead of resting at home. Next to her room, a patient’s agonizing screams pierced the night, robbing her of much-needed sleep. The constant flow of medical staff entering and exiting her room added to her already challenging night.
Moving forward, her surgery proved to be a success, with the surgeon and anesthesiologists performing exceptionally well. However, post-surgery, an unexpected request came in the form of a bedpan. Determined to be discharged, the patient adamantly refused, fearing it would give the hospital an excuse to keep her longer. Her focus was on going home and saving money.
Despite the difficulties faced during her hospital stay, the patient emphasizes the competent work of the surgical team. However, the same cannot be said for the pain management and post-surgery procedures. These details shed light on the patient’s experience and present an honest depiction of her journey from the ambulance to the emergency room.
AMBULANCE to the EMERGENCY ROOM – DISHING the DETAILS
Flying RC Plane!!
I wake up from surgery and try to take it easy, unlike the hospital, where rest doesn’t seem to be valued. It’s important for me as I have babies at home and I really need some rest. However, my desire for rest seems to be disregarded by the hospital staff.
The doctor comes in, not my nurse, and I express my intention to go home today. To my surprise, she dismisses my request and avoids giving me any information about what actually happened during my surgery. It’s quite intriguing how she avoids discussing the details with me.
Dismissed by my doctor, I am left with my nurse. She walks in and shares that my doctor found amusement in my desire to go home. I am taken aback by their laughter and baffled as to why they would find it amusing. Soon after, my nurse disappears and I don’t see her again for the rest of the time.
Feeling frustrated, I gather my strength and determination and head towards the nurses’ station. It’s already four o’clock and I decide it’s time to take charge. I drag my IV bags along with me as I march down the hall, changed into my regular clothes. I confront the staff at the nurses’ station and tell them that I have completed all the necessary steps for discharge and that they had informed my husband about it.
I express my disappointment in not hearing from my surgeon, and with my nurse gone, it feels like there’s no one else looking out for me. This doctor, who seems to have been laughing at my wish to go home, finally emerges from somewhere. However, she avoids making eye contact with me, further adding to my perplexity.
I emphasize the fact that I have babies at home and all I want is a good night’s sleep. The urgency in my voice echoes through the hallway as I yearn for some care and understanding from the medical staff.
The Phone Call
At around 4:30, the surgeon picked up the phone to inform us that the surgery had gone well. With a sense of relief, he mentioned that I could be discharged and go home by five o’clock. The news was comforting, and it seemed like everything was going according to plan.
Technical Difficulties
However, as the clock ticked closer to five, the hospital staff began mentioning technical difficulties. They didn’t provide any further explanation, leaving me puzzled and wondering what was causing the delay in my discharge. It felt as though there was a veil of secrecy surrounding the situation, and no one seemed willing to share the details.
The Urgency to Leave
As six o’clock approached, it became apparent that the staff had reached their limit with us. Without any warning or explanation, they abruptly told us to leave. It was a baffling turn of events, as they didn’t even bother to say anything about the supposed technical difficulties. I found it surprising that I wasn’t asked to sign any discharge papers, which led me to question the consequences if something had gone wrong.
Neglected Care
Throughout this entire ordeal, neither my nurse nor my doctor returned to my room. They didn’t offer me any pain medication or check up on my well-being. We were fortunate to have left when we did because the hospital’s pharmacy was closing soon. It was disheartening to realize that they simply didn’t seem to care about my recovery. The lack of attention and disregard for my comfort was truly astonishing.
The Surgeon’s Fault
I couldn’t help but place some blame on the surgeon. I had spoken to him earlier that day around 11:30, where he had assured me that if everything checked out, I would be able to go home. However, his assurance seemed empty now. It felt as though he had set false expectations, leaving me feeling frustrated and determined to return to the comfort of my own home.
The journey from the ambulance to the emergency room was smooth, and the surgery itself went well. However, the process of getting discharged was marred by confusion, lack of care, and unexpected obstacles. It was a rollercoaster of emotions, with moments of hope and frustration. In the end, though, my determination to get back home prevailed. No one should have to endure such perplexing circumstances when seeking medical care, but unfortunately, it seems that sometimes, even the most basic aspects of patient care can be overlooked.
The YouTube Dilemma
Being a YouTuber may seem like a dream job for many. The idea of creating content, gaining a following, and influencing others can be enticing. However, there are some harsh realities that come with pursuing YouTube as a full-time career. One of the major challenges is the lack of insurance and financial security.
The High Cost of Insurance
If you decide to make YouTube your full-time profession, you need to be prepared for the financial burden that comes with it. Regular insurance is available, but it comes at a steep price. With an annual cost of approximately $20,000 and a deductible of twenty thousand dollars, it’s a risky investment. This high expense is enough to make anyone think twice about diving into the world of YouTube.
A Plea for Support
In light of the financial challenges faced by content creators, one popular YouTuber has made a plea for support from their audience. They highlight the hardships caused by a recent event involving Horizon, a company that broke their website, causing a serious drop in their income. This situation is not unique to them but affects many other YouTubers as well.
Supporting Content Creators
The YouTuber implores their viewers to consider purchasing an RC (Remote Control) through their provided link. By doing so, the audience would be supporting the content creator and helping mitigate the impact of the financial setbacks caused by Horizon’s website breakdown. They express their gratitude for any form of support, whether it is as small as buying a battery or as significant as purchasing the recommended RC product.
Measuring Impact
The content creator would like to monitor the impact of their audience’s support. They encourage viewers to leave comments stating their purchase of the recommended product through the provided link. This feedback would help them gauge the effectiveness of their plea and determine if they receive credit for the sale.
In conclusion, being a full-time YouTuber can be a thrilling prospect, but it is not without its challenges. The lack of insurance and financial instability are significant issues that content creators face. It is essential for audience members to support their favorite YouTubers by using provided links, as it can make a substantial difference in their livelihood. As a community, we should come together to help content creators overcome these obstacles and ensure their continued success.
Supporting the Cause
When it comes to supporting a cause, there are various ways to make a difference. One option is to make a purchase from a source that helps the cause directly. This not only allows you to contribute but also gives you something in return. For those who may not have the financial means to contribute, there are alternative ways to show support.
Helping the YouTube Channel
A YouTube channel can be a great platform for raising awareness and support for a cause. By simply watching the videos, you can help increase the channel’s visibility and engagement. Watching just five more videos and allowing them to play all the way through can make a significant difference. It may not seem like much, but every view counts.
Buying RC Items for Support
For those who have the means, buying RC (remote control) items is a great way to support the cause. By purchasing an RC item, not only are you contributing financially, but you are also showing your interest and dedication to the channel. If you do decide to make a purchase, it’s important to inform the channel about the specific item you bought. This allows them to track if the item is delivered successfully.
The Challenge of Broken Items
Unfortunately, even after purchasing an item, there may be challenges faced by both the buyer and the channel. It seems that there has been a recurring issue with broken items that have yet to be resolved. Despite reaching out to various sources, including other YouTubers and industry professionals, a solution has not been found. This poses a significant setback for the channel and its operations.
A Downfall in the Industry
This issue of broken items extends beyond a single channel. It appears that many hobby shops and individuals involved in the RC industry are experiencing a massive drop in quality. The current situation, which includes the effects of the ongoing pandemic, has affected the availability and functionality of RC items. This is concerning as it not only affects the channels but also the individuals who rely on these items for their hobbies and passions.
The Timing of Medical Procedures
Unfortunately, timing is not always on our side. The mention of a surgery at this particular moment seems unfortunate. It emphasizes the difficulty of the situation, as there are financial concerns surrounding medical procedures. Even with insurance and meeting deductible requirements, there are still significant bills to be paid. It creates a sense of uncertainty and adds additional financial burden.
The Potential Future Expenses
The mention of the impending expenses for Daniel, who was born in January, adds to the complexity of the situation. There are concerns about the future medical costs, which are projected to be around $15,000. This, combined with the expenses already incurred in 2022, creates a daunting situation. It highlights the importance of finding solutions and support during this challenging time.
Financial Challenges and Gratitude
I had a couple. People help us significantly on Daniels bill and we will be forever grateful for that because I dont know what we did to deserve that help. But we thank you and you know who you are, but with this its super scary, financially, Im so glad that Abbys doing better but financially, it is very scary. So again, this is like the best thing you could do here.
Tracking Purchases
If you do buy something, tell us what you bought using our link, so we can see if its even being tracked, because no one at Horizon has been able to help us with this.
Supporting the Community
No theres not been any end in sight, and I think this is a really good opportunity to to use the tools that we have and try to help fix it not just for us, but if youre watching pilot Ryan and you buy something through his link. Hes. Not getting support right now either, and he has a family to take care of too and all other guys that do this, its just hitting everybody.
An Update on Abby
So anyway, we wanted to give you guys an update on Abby, most importantly, but then also Im alive, Im well, Im. Breathing everything seems to be going fine Im too almost 48 hours, post, op and everythings good Ill. Have my follow up here in a week and uh everything seems to be going fine, its just a little scared to eat. I think the amount of food that Ive eaten in the past four days could fit on my hand, yeah its probably about that much.
Health Issues and Support
Yesterday was an incredibly tough day. I found myself in a state of utter physical collapse. The world spun around me; dizziness and weakness consumed me, and every inch of my body throbbed with pain. It was as if all my energy had been drained away. Perhaps it was the aftermath of the adrenaline rush, the lingering effects of dealing with the overwhelming challenges that life threw at us. But today, we are both on our feet again, feeling a little better, and ready to face the world.
The Power of Community
In times like these, when everything seems to be falling apart, it is the unwavering support of our community that lifts us up. We are eternally grateful to each and every person who has extended a helping hand in our time of need. To those who watched this video and reached out with acts of kindness, such as providing food or assisting with our children, we want you to know that your presence in our lives means the world to us. The generosity and compassion we have witnessed have been nothing short of awe-inspiring.
There were individuals who stepped up when we didn’t even know they existed. A remarkable neighbor came to our aid, selflessly offering a helping hand. And when the ambulance arrived to transport me to the hospital, we were fortunate to have someone with our children until we found someone else to be there for them. It’s moments like these that remind us of the incredible kindness within humanity.
We have also been fortunate to have a couple of close friends from our church who have been there for us throughout this ordeal. They have stood by our side, providing unwavering support and care. We cannot express our gratitude enough, knowing that they have played a significant role in our lives during this challenging time.
This video serves as a special thank you to all those who have supported us. We are aware that some of you in our community watch our videos occasionally, and we want to say a heartfelt thank you to you as well. Your presence has brought comfort and strength to us, and we are forever grateful.
An Update for Our Viewers
Now, shifting gears, we want to provide you with a quick update on our current situation. We didn’t want this video to be excessively long, as we value your time. However, we felt it was essential to share our progress with you in a more personal way, rather than through a written post.
As mentioned earlier, today is already a better day for both of us. We wanted to convey this news directly to you, rather than leaving you in the dark. While my previous post hinted at the specific challenges we faced, it would have been impossible for me to articulate all the details in writing. Hence, we decided that a video was the best way to communicate with you.
We hope that this update has brought you some clarity regarding our recent situation. As we continue to move forward, we appreciate your continued prayers and support. We are confident that, with the incredible community we have, we will be able to face any future obstacles that come our way.
Thank you for being a part of our lives and for standing by us during these difficult times. You truly mean the world to us.
Support from Our Community
You guys have always been a part of our reality, the biggest part of our reality and support system for us. We thank you and just wanted to keep you updated. We thank God for getting us through all of this. We also thank our Patreon supporters for helping us financially. Not only do you help us buy and maintain our RCs and equipment, but times like this, we might have to tap into that to support the medical bills so that we can physically get out here and make our videos too. So yeah, thank you, thank you!
Current Challenges
This situation has been challenging for us. It’s a scary time, and we’re doing everything we can to stay safe and healthy. The medical bills are piling up, and we appreciate all the support we have received from our community.
Continuing the Videos
We want to assure you that despite the challenging circumstances, we will do our best to keep the videos rolling out. We understand that sometimes you may want a more positive video that’s not focused on Abby almost dying. Well, have a great video popping up right about now.
Conclusion
In life, unexpected challenges may arise, throwing us off balance and testing our resilience. The journey from ambulance to the emergency room can be filled with uncertainty and fear. However, by embracing the inherent wisdom of our bodies and relying on the medical expertise available, we can navigate through these difficult moments and find the answers and relief we seek.
