It started off as a gas vehicle, but I couldn’t resist the urge to modify it and turn it into an electric monster truck fifth scale rally car. Converting this Beast from gas to electric was just the beginning. I knew I had to take it a step further to truly unleash its potential. I decided to install monster truck tires and completely transform its appearance. Some might say I mutilated the car, but to me, it is a work of art. This unconventional modification makes it stand out from the crowd and adds to its overall craziness.
Special Modifications
To make this transformation possible, I had to make some special modifications to the stock chassis. I drilled through and installed a 30-degree North motor mount, which allowed me to fit the Hobby Wing 800 KV brushless motor. Paired with the Hot Wheel Max 5 ESC and running on 8s, this car is wicked fast. I also added a wfo 25-tooth mod 1.5 pinion gear for an extra boost of speed. Despite these modifications, the rest of the car remains mostly stock, showcasing the durability of its drivetrain.
Unbelievable Performance
The performance of this Beast is simply mind-blowing. The combination of the powerful motor, ESC, and 8s battery setup propels this car at incredible speeds. Whether I’m racing it on a track or taking it off-road, it handles like a dream. The Proline slingshot paddle tires provide excellent traction, allowing me to conquer any terrain with ease.
Durability and Endurance
Despite its insane speed and aggressive driving style, this car is surprisingly durable. It is a knockoff clone version of an MCD, but the quality of the components is outstanding. I have pushed this car to its limits, even sending it off death ramps, and it has held up exceptionally well. Roman, the creator of this clone version, did an amazing job ensuring that all the parts are top-notch.
The Beast That Nobody Wanted
Recently, I decided to sell a vehicle that had been taking up space in my shop. I posted it on Facebook Marketplace, listing it at a surprisingly low price of just $600. I thought for sure it would be snatched up immediately, but to my astonishment, nobody showed any interest. It’s mind-boggling, really. Why wouldn’t anyone want this incredible machine?
