One option I am considering is the addition of spoilers and diffusers to my vehicle. By carefully choosing and installing these components, I hope to improve the overall stability and performance of my car.

Front Spoiler: Keeping the Front Down

At the top of my list is the front spoiler. When I was running at 6s, I found it extremely difficult to keep the front of my car down. To address this issue, I plan to create a front spoiler that can help generate downforce and keep the front end of the car grounded. By utilizing the right materials and design, I hope to achieve the desired results.

Rear Spoiler: Balancing the Equation

While the front spoiler is crucial, I am not neglecting the rear of the car. To maintain stability and control, I plan to install a rear spoiler as well. By working in conjunction with the front spoiler, the rear spoiler will help create a balanced and aerodynamic profile. This combination will enable me to navigate corners and high-speed straights more effectively.

Utilizing a Rear Diffuser

In addition to spoilers, I am exploring the possibility of using a rear diffuser. The rear diffuser is responsible for managing and controlling the airflow underneath the car. By properly channeling the air, it can create a low-pressure area, which helps improve traction and stability. I believe that incorporating a rear diffuser into my setup will further enhance the overall performance of my car.

Upgrading the Vendetta: A Modifying Adventure

Steering Blocks, Hubs, and Drive Shafts

After countless hours of research and tinkering, I’ve finally found the perfect parts to upgrade my Vendetta. The steering blocks, hubs, and drive shafts all fit like a glove. However, I did notice that the drive shafts are slightly shorter than what I anticipated. This shouldn’t be a problem unless you’re planning on using the Vendetta for intense Vortex-like maneuvers. In that case, I would recommend opting for longer drive shafts like those found in the Typhon. But for my purposes, these will do just fine. No worries about them falling out during my rides.

Differentials and Gearing

With the steering components securely in place, I moved on to the next step: the differentials. I carefully cleaned and greased the differentials before putting everything back together. I also made a mental note to clean up some excess debris that had accumulated in the process. Speaking of gears, I took a quick glance at the mod one gearing and made a mental note to count the teeth on the spur later. It’s always good to keep track of those crucial details.

Center Shaft Length

Despite my progress with the steering and differentials, I encountered a small setback when I measured the center shaft. It turned out to be too long for my liking. This shouldn’t be a major issue, as I believe I can modify it to fit properly. However, I’ve decided to save this task for last, as I want to focus on the more straightforward aspects first. Sometimes, patience is the key to success.

Suspension Improvements

Moving on to the suspension, I decided to strip it down completely. This would allow me to make some much-needed improvements. One technique I found effective was using fuel tubing to limit the shocks. By using fuel tubing, I could control the ride height and prevent the shocks from compressing too far. It may take a few attempts to determine the appropriate amount of tubing needed to restrict the shocks, but the end result is worth the effort.

Understanding the Armor Shock: Exploring Its Unique Features

When it comes to armor shocks, there is something slightly different about them compared to others. Let’s take a closer look at the key elements that set them apart.

Understanding the Arm Position and the Drive Shaft Angle

One noticeable feature of the armor shock is the positioning of the arms. They are slightly lifted up, and this is directly related to the angle of the drive shaft. The angle of the drive shaft determines the amount of droop one can have in the shock.

Exploring the Use of Fuel Tubing

Another trick that can be employed with armor shocks is the use of fuel tubing. It may become necessary to take some fuel tubing along when it’s time to roster. By inserting a small amount of tubing, the amount of pressure exerted can be reduced. Many people opt for a solid structure, limiting movement or eliminating it altogether. However, some find that adding fuel tubing helps to adjust the stiffness of the shocks as desired.

Managing the Shocks: Front vs. Rear

Setting the ride height is an important aspect of shock management. After adjusting the armor shocks, it is crucial to ensure that the ride height is properly set. This involves working on both the front and rear shocks. By adjusting them, a slight rake can be achieved, where the front is slightly lower than the rear. However, it is important to note that while the rear may have full travel, it often hits the floor. To prevent this, limits can be set to avoid any unwanted contact.

Improving the Aero Dynamics

When it comes to improving the aerodynamics of a car, small changes can make a big difference. In this article, we will discuss the steps taken to enhance the aerodynamics of a car, with a focus on the front and rear spoilers.

The Front Spoiler

The first step taken was to replace the original front spoiler with a Vendetta front spoiler. However, some modifications were needed in order to make it fit properly. A hinge adapter or bracket had to be added to accommodate the new spoiler, just like what was done for the rear spoiler. Additionally, the front spoiler was trimmed and foam was applied to enhance its efficiency. While it may look odd at the moment, with a bit of paint and further trimming, it will serve its purpose effectively.

Airflow and Downforce

Understanding the principles of aerodynamics is crucial for making informed decisions when modifying a car. The concept is quite simple – faster airflow underneath the car creates more downforce, while slower airflow over the top reduces drag. In other words, to maximize downforce, it is essential to direct the air underneath the car as much as possible.

The Rear Diffuser

Taking inspiration from nature, the rear diffuser reminds one of a monkey. This observation led to the decision of removing the existing spoiler and implementing carbon fiber elements instead. The rear diffuser was trimmed and boxed in a specific way to optimize its performance. By doing so, the rear diffuser can work in conjunction with the front spoiler to create a balance of airflow and downforce.
