Introduction
In this episode, we delve into the world of car collectors and the difficult decision that comes with letting go of a cherished collection. With limited space and a need for financial liquidity, choices must be made. In this article, we will take a closer look at the process of parting ways with prized cars and how interested buyers can make offers.
Letting Go: Clearing Space and Replenishing Funds
A Plethora of Cars
Amidst the sea of vehicles that have accumulated over time, there comes a point when one realizes that space is running out. The sheer number of cars necessitates a difficult decision: which cars to let go. It is important to note the purpose behind this decision—to generate funds for further ventures, particularly for channel-related activities.
Exploring the Collection
Let’s now delve into the cars being released from the collection. They have been handpicked with caution, ensuring their prime condition and value. Please bear in mind that these cars will not be given away at bargain prices; their worth is reflected in their quality. Realistic offers are welcomed and encouraged.
Contacting the Right Channels
If intrigued by any of the cars being showcased, feel free to contact Gavin Evans at rckicks.com or reach out to the author directly via the Facebook group. From there, suitable arrangements can be made. However, it is essential to understand that lowball offers will not be entertained. Respect both your own time and that of the seller by making offers that reflect the value of the cars.
International Shipping Considerations
For those living outside the author’s location, fear not. Shipping is still an option. Though it may incur additional costs, rest assured that the shipping process will be handled with care. Insurance and tracking will be provided to protect the car during transit. So, even if you find yourself on the other side of the world, acquiring a car from this collection can still be a reality.
Exploring the Cars I’m Pointing Out
If you want to know more about the cars that I’m actually pointing out, I recommend checking out the videos I’ve done on them. Due to limitations on the number of links I can provide in this video, it’s best to go to the search bar on YouTube and type in the car’s name followed by “RC kicks” to find all the videos I’ve created about it. This way, you can get a comprehensive understanding of the car you’re interested in.
Understanding Upgrades and Modifications
Many of the cars I’m selling will have upgrades and modifications, making it important for potential buyers to have a clear view of what they’re bidding on or planning to buy. One classic example is the track I’m currently showcasing. This car is far from stock, as it boasts numerous upgrades such as full bearings, full metal links, skid plates, and brass front and back with brass pumpkins. These additions enhance its performance and durability, making it a valuable option.
An Excellent Condition Option
The first car I want to highlight is in excellent condition. This two-wheel drive top cap from Shoemaker Racing is no longer available for purchase. It has only been driven indoors, ensuring it remains in mint condition. Despite its discontinued status, this car still offers exceptional performance and is a valuable find for any RC lover.
Uncovering Hidden Gems
While some of the cars I’m featuring may no longer be in production, they still hold immense value for collectors and enthusiasts. These hidden gems offer a unique opportunity to own a piece of RC history. From limited edition models to rare finds, these cars have a distinct appeal that can’t be replicated. So, if you’re a true RC fan, keep an eye out for these exclusive options.
Expand Your Collection
Expanding your RC car collection is an exhilarating experience. Owning a variety of models allows you to explore different terrains, driving styles, and challenges. Whether you’re a racing enthusiast or prefer off-road adventures, having a diverse collection ensures there’s always something new and exciting to try. So, don’t limit yourself to just one car; consider adding more to your garage.
Title: Selling Rare RC Cars – A Regretful Decision?
An Almost New Schumacher Buggy
It has been driven a little bit outside on the grass, but there’s hardly any marks at all, just an odd little ones. So pretty much as new as you can get now. This is not stock. By any means, this has got the narrow track: arms metal, lower arms, its got a brass weight at the front, which is from Schumacher. It’s got the pivot adjustment suspension. I forget what they’re called, they’re in metal. That’s a Schumacher option as well.
Also, it has a mazum models, slipper clutch conversion in it, so a completely different back end. This will be a roller. Most of my cars will be a roller unless it’s an RTR kit because I just use the electronics and the motors and all that kind of stuff as well. Suspension is all the same. Also, it comes with the upgraded belt tensioners and the slipper clutch plates are the ventilated ones, they’re an upgrade as well. It comes with the box and all the parts that were taken off to upgrade it as well. So you could turn it back to stock if you wanted to, but why would you do that? All in all, a lovely buggy that’s only gonna get more and more valuable, so why am I selling it? What an idiot!
A Brand New XV02 Pro
Next is this one. Yeah, I can’t believe I’m doing this. This is an xv02 Pro, basically in a brand new condition, never been run. It comes with…
The Yaris Body Kit: What’s Included and What’s Not
The Yaris body kit comes with a manual box and the essential components, but there are a few things you need to know before making your purchase. Firstly, the kit does not include bearings. You have to decide whether you want to add them to your build or not. Additionally, the wheels and tires are not part of the kit either. However, adjustable ones that fit the Yaris are available and will come with the kit. Overall, it is a fully built kit ready to go, with just the electronics needing to be installed.
A Closer Look at the Dark Impact from Tamiya
Another popular option in the RC car world is the Dark Impact from Tamiya. This particular model was purchased with the intention of testing its durability against ready-to-run models from China. Surprisingly, upon arrival, it was almost brand new. The only signs of use are a small amount of scuffing on the backplate and a few minor graze marks on the bottom. The tires are in excellent condition, and the rims are also in great shape. The body of the Dark Impact has been nicely painted, making it a shame to take it to the skate park and potentially damage it. As a result, the owner decided to keep it as is.
The Difficulty of Obtaining Certain Items
Obtaining certain items can prove to be quite difficult, often appearing and disappearing in the market. One such item is a silver cam motor, which comes with the motor but without all the electronics. The manual may or may not be included, but further confirmation can be obtained from the seller. Despite that, the availability of this item remains uncertain.
Brand New Rock Soccer
A brand new Rock Soccer, built and painted on a show, is now up for sale. The meticulous painting includes the back and all the bars, which are not mere stickers but have been carefully done in gum, metal, gray. Despite being used for footage on grass, it has never been taken off-road and remains in pristine condition. The motor will be included, along with the manual and box, making it an enticing option for anyone seeking a fully equipped Rock Soccer.
A Weapon 3S Armor Infraction
The next item up for discussion is a remarkable 3S Armor Infraction. Although not driven as often as it deserves, this monster of a vehicle is highly capable. While the owner admits to not engaging in extreme bashing, it has been enjoyed on several occasions. This impressive machine offers immense power and potential to any enthusiast who chooses to make it their own.
Is It Worth Buying a Used Car?
Buying a used car can be a great way to save money and get a reliable vehicle. However, it’s important to carefully consider the condition of the car before making a purchase. In this article, we will discuss the pros and cons of buying a used car and what to look for when evaluating its condition.
The Overall Condition
When buying a used car, it’s essential to assess its overall condition. In the given text, the author describes the car as being in pretty decent condition with a few scuff marks but no major damage. This is a positive sign, as it suggests that the car has been well-maintained and cared for by its previous owner. However, it’s crucial to thoroughly inspect the car for any hidden problems before making a decision.
The Stock Features
The author mentions that the car is “basically totally stock,” meaning it has not been heavily modified from its original specifications. This can be a good thing, as it indicates that the car has not been subjected to excessive wear and tear or potentially unreliable aftermarket modifications. Additionally, the fact that the car comes with box manuals and all the expected features is a positive point to consider.
Usage and Maintenance
The author mentions that the car has been driven only a few times and has not been subjected to any extreme conditions like jumping. This suggests that the car has been driven responsibly and not pushed to its limits. Regular maintenance and responsible usage are important factors to consider when evaluating a used car. It’s always a good idea to ask for maintenance records or receipts to ensure that the car has been well taken care of.
Tires and Other Considerations
The text notes that the tires are pretty much new, which is another positive aspect to consider. The condition of the tires can indicate how well the car has been maintained and its overall roadworthiness. Additionally, the author mentions a bit of dust on the car, which suggests that it may need a thorough cleaning. While this is a minor issue, it’s worth taking into account when evaluating the overall condition of the car.
The Joy of RC Cars: Ready to Run Fun
Clearing Out the Collection
So there’s no point in keeping so many RC cars. I’ve got so many little ones ready to run these days, including an LC racing model that I kind of keep for myself. But I might as well let this one go. I only really get it out now and again, so it has been used. It has some scuffs on the back, but overall it’s neat, tidy, and hasn’t been abused. Now, it comes with the box, manual, battery charger, and all the usual items you would find in a ready-to-run package. However, please note that the box has a big dent in the front. Unfortunately, it came like that. But hey, the car is fully working and great fun!
An Impressive Brushless Version
Moving on to another ready-to-run (RTR) RC car, we have the UDirc. This model is based on the integrally, it’s four-wheel-drive, and it’s the brushless version, not the brushed one. It comes with everything you need, including a battery charger, USB charger, transmitter, and the car itself. The condition is pretty decent, and I would say it’s almost new, maybe a nine out of ten. I don’t think it has any major issues. Personally, I’m not overly sold on it because I find the steering a little bit slow for my liking. However, many people rave about these cars, so if you’re interested in them, you probably already know quite a bit about their features and capabilities.
Wrap Up
So there you have it, another RC car up for grabs. Whether you’re a seasoned enthusiast or just starting out, these ready-to-run models offer a lot of fun and excitement. The first car, although slightly scuffed, is still in good shape and will provide many hours of enjoyment. The second car, the brushless UDirc, is highly regarded by many, although its steering might not appeal to everyone. In the end, it comes down to personal preference. So if you’re looking to add to your collection or just want to experience the thrill of remote-controlled racing, these RTR cars are definitely worth considering.
